I think its totally correct and good for people who choose to support the company by purchasing a MinglePlus subscription to get something extra.

It's umm $10.00, not $1000.00... anyone can get this.

I get cable, but I have to pay for HBO and Showtime. I don't complain about not getting it free...

This is first version of MinglePlus. There are already enhancements underway all designed to do one thing: help people connect. We feel there is a lot of room for improvement in the online dating space and we're excited about creating new fun and interesting ways for people to connect.

You're not getting viruses from IM. It may trigger your antivirus but you don't get viruses from IM.

There seems to be a new scam technique where scammers are just scraping people's usernames. Like mine is "vanchau" and then they just guess that there is AIM or Yahoo IM account called "vanchau" and claim they saw me on the site.

This is happening on a lot of other dating sites. This way they can completely by pass the email system and scam filters on the dating site and get a direct connection with the potential target through IM.

Unfortunately, there is not much the dating site can do (outside of educating its users) since they are not even involved with any communication.

Just wanted people to know.

Bottom line, never give money to anyone asking that you don't know personally. If you stick to that rule, you will never get scammed.

I think its not only smart to try and show your best side, it works. It's like dressing nice for an interview.

I think misrepresentation on a dating site is more like when the person says they are one thing, and are not.
