Yeah. I slid on that snow this morning by the last high line pole before you get to the house which looks like it is almost in the middle of the road. The electric company should have moved that pole when they had a chance to when the ice storm came winters ago. It is right in the way and the school bus has to go by there when school is in session. I am off on Tuesday night and Wednesday night but tonight is Monday night.

My half German Shepherd half Golden Labrador sure likes to jump in the bed with me. Getting the covers over me when she is laying on them can be a struggle at times.

Doing the unfreeze the well pump water line in the correct order. Turn off the water heater; Turn off the well pump; Set the electric heater to maximum in the well house; Wait; Watch that beautiful water run without busted PVC pipes after I turned the well pump and water heater back on. Patience is a virtue and a lot easier than going spastic.

Water froze up last night but it was a quick fix. Turned off the water heater; Turned off the well pump; Set the heater in the well house on maximum then waited...Turned back on the water heater; Then the well pump and had water running in the sinks. Got pretty cold last night.

Question from a widower
Meeting people and dating again are two different things. I like how you separated that. Meeting people before dating again is a good idea. Getting past the envy thing of couples was a big thing. Grief was a cruel hideous monster. It can catch you off guard when you least expect it. I remember I even had to stop writing poetry for while because I was scaring the bejesus out of myself.

Question from a widower
At least you just have a picture of yourself in your picture and not one with your deceased and you in it. People are visual. Sometimes just the picture can be obvious to others other than yourself. If you write poetry it can certainly show up there especially when you write in the third person a lot. If you communicate in the 'we' form instead of the "I" form unless you have children it is a give away. Looking for friends only can be looked on in different ways in a person's profile when one is a widow or widower. If you find yourself using the edit a lot like I do you might want to question your availability. It can get to be a two part question of whether you are trying to convince you or them. No dishonor in saying to one's self if they are not ready or not. some of these things can be attributed to exes as well. Grief can be a tricky thing. One can get false starts and stops. I know I sure have had my struggle with letting go of the past.

The stable kernel has made it up to 3.2.5. The second Alpha edition boasted a kernel of 3.2.2 and the little partial upgrades and updates have been messing with the Gnome 2 but the Gnome 2 with no frills is doing good as long you can expect some minor disruptions with Nautilus. I haven't had any sound problems yet but then I am using Pulse and ALSA. I have had some aberrational glitches with Chromium but the same thing happens with Firefox concerning the maximum on page opening. It might be a Nvidia thing. I am not using a notebook or a laptop.

Tech-Tip# 344 By Bryan Lambert- February 12, 2012
Of all the consumer electronics technologies that have advanced in the last 20 years, from computers to music to game consoles - televisions seem to have come farther than all of them in such a short time. After being saddled with CRTs for over half a century, most of them went from a 19-inch tube TV to massive home theater systems centered around some kind of huge LCD TV or plasma flat screen TV. Now be prepared to take the next step in the fast evolving segment of televisions with OLED televisions coming soon. In this Tech Tip we are going to look at five reasons why OLED will be the next big thing in TVs. Reason 1 - they are so darn thin and light! In Ray Bradbury’s science fiction novel, Fahrenheit 451, one of the featured items in people’s homes was the Parlor TV. Thanks to OLED technology, one day in the near future we may well see real examples of the Parlor TV. For example, when the OLED 55-inch TV (the LG 55EM9600) goes on sale later this year, it promises to be a flat screen unlike the flat screens that we’ve been use to for the last few years. Coming in at just 4 millimeters thick and weighing in at around 16 pounds, it could be a real winner for the folks looking to go for a thin and light set. While LCD based TVs have been getting thinner and lighter in the last few years, this promises to be a game changer. Reason 2 - just look at those colors! OLEDs not only deliver on being thin and light, but they also have outstanding color. Anyone with an AMOLED display on a cell phone knows what kind of vibrant color OLEDs can deliver. Now imaging that on a big screen TV! OLED technology gives better viewing angles and improved brightness, so when viewed from the side the colors do NOT wash out and the picture stays vibrant. Reason 3 - panel intangibles One of the dictionary’s definition for intangible is “not definite or clear to the mind. ” By intangibles with OLED-based TVs, I am talking about some of the more “geeky” aspects that may not be so readily apparent, but overall, greatly enhance the viewing quality of watching your favorite movie on an OLED TV. For example, the “response times” for OLED TVs are almost negligible; what this means to you is that you have a large decrease in the blur in action scenes. Also, the refresh rate shoots way beyond what we are used to - that means is more lifelike reproduction. In addition, the contrast ratio and brightness are much better than what may be found on the current generation of televisions. The result is a nicer, brighter picture all around. Reason 4 - the energy factor. OLED-based panels do not rely on a backlight to “light up” the picture like panels of today - which means that OLED TV’s are better and more efficient in their use of power. It also means deeper “blacks” for the image (instead if the “greyish blacks” that many of us with LCDs are used to). The “green” TVs of the future will be based on OLED televisions. Reason 5 - the future looks bright! There are many reasons that OLED televisions are tomorrow’s technology today, but the future looks even brighter. True with any new technology hitting the market for the first time, the first OLED televisions will be expensive (similar to how the first 4K TVs are expensive - just as when the first plasma TVs and then LCD TVs came up for sale) but as production gears up, the costs are sure to go down. In addition, some of the exciting aspects that have already been demonstrated with OLED screens (such as screens being thinner than paper or screens that can be rolled up like a newspaper) will become more and more common sights as this technology really takes off. Imagine being able to “tape up” a TV on the wall at a friend’s house, like a poster, and then taking it down, rolling it up and taking it home. All this can be a reality with OLED technology! In conclusion OLED TVs are on their way! Just as the last few years in TVs have been exciting with the migration away from old fashioned tube-based televisions, the future change to OLED (as well as super high resolution 4K TVs) promises to make the near future even more exciting for those who want the ultimate in home entertainment! http://www.geeks.com/techtips/2012/5-reasons-oled-tvs-are-the-wave-of-the-future.asp |

I don’t understand why people should pray for you? What is it you want them to pray for, I mean what do you expect?
Do you think that the number of people asking God to give you an answer is more important to God than if you ask alone? For me it would be that I pray that they can get a better answer than I can give them. It is my own personal cop out and can be taken as humility, too. I am not superman. I would rather surrender to keep my serenity. I think the number of people asking God to give 'them' an answer is more important than God giving me an answer. I would say this because the prayers of a righteous man availeth much but then I am not always righteous. I have been self righteous a lot. I believe it is good to give honor where honor is due but then I am not always honorable. Discretion is suppose to be the better part of valor and it can come in handy if you are a coward like I can be at times. I would pray that people would pray for me that I don't throw a temper tantrum and become asinine which happens a lot. I expect that I would probably screw it up. I mean after all my dad gave me an anvil for my birthday once and told me not to break it. My bull in a china shop mentality has got me into trouble before. My favorite cop out is I will go get the nurse. But the nurses have instructed me to do so so that I don't over extend my own liability. I can remember my dad telling me that I couldn't pour piss out of a boot even with the instructions on the heel.

Yes, and many Christians think that Catholics do not do this because of their veneration of The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Saints. That is a shame. It has been on my family crest since 1109.

QUOTE: QUOTE: Seems similar to the Eucharist. That's because it is. The name given to the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar in its twofold aspect of sacrament and Sacrifice of Mass, and in which Jesus Christ is truly present under the bread and wine. That's why we genuflect if there is a Tabernacle on the Altar where the consecrated hosts are kept. Because it is truly Jesus there. However, most modern Catholic Churches no longer keep a Tabernacle on the Altar. They put in the back room somewhere. Which is why I don't like to go to modern Catholic Churches. Soli Deo honor et gloria
