QUOTE: I like the Mutual match too. Call me silly but if results come back and say someone is interested, how the heck do ya know who that someone is and how to contact an interested party? We don't reveal specifically who is interested in you. You need to go into the "Rate People" section, and say "Yes" or "Maybe" to anyone you're interested in. Some of these folks have already rated you, and if you both say "Yes" or "Maybe" to each other, we'll reveal you as a match. |

Thanks for the suggestion. We're working on some tweaks to our search and to mutual match which might allow us to implement what you're suggesting, so hopefully you'll see some improvements there soon. Thanks again!

P.S. because of the site problems, we had a backlog of mail that needed to be sent. So you might see a bunch of email notifications that you have new mail which are actually notifications of mail you received a while ago...

Hi folks,
We finally were able to figure out what was going on with the site. Everything should be working properly now. We're so sorry for the inconvenience! If you see any more issues, just let us know. Thanks, and sorry again. Mike, Andrew, Vanchau, and Matt |

Wrong mail address !
That means we were getting bounces from your email address. That can happen sometimes when your mailbox is full or if your mail server is temporarily down.
What you can do to fix it is change your email address on your JSH account, then change it back to your original email address and reconfirm it. That should make the message go away. You can change your email address by clicking on the "Mail" tab, then click on "Settings" |

Hi folks,
Some of you may have noticed that we launched a new post reporting system. Next to the "Quote" and "Reply" links on each post, you'll now find a "Report Post" link. If you see a problematic post or topic on the site, you can click on the "Report Post" link and let us know why you think the post is inappropriate. Those reports go directly to the moderating team. They'll review your report and take any appropriate action. For any forum issues, please use the Report Post system, and DO NOT use the "Report Abuse" button on the user's profile any longer. Abuse reports are only seen by the admins, not the mods, and so they won't be acted on nearly as quickly. For non-forum issues, i.e. if you suspect someone is a scammer, bad emails, bad profiles, etc., please continue to use the Report Abuse button on their profile to let us know. Thanks! Mike |

Sex and dating should now be back under "My Topics". It still will not appear under Recent Posts though, so if you're looking for the latest posts in that forum, make sure to go into the forum itself.

We removed Sex and Dating from the "Recent Posts" page because the content in that forum can be a little racier, so we didn't want to expose people to it who didn't want to see it.
You can always see the latest Sex and Dating content by going directly to that forum. So if you're looking for it, it's still there. |

Introducing Andrew!
Hi everyone,
I'm very pleased to announce that we have a new member of the JustSayHi team! Andrew has been doing some development work for us as a contractor for some time now (he built Mutual Match!), but recently we were fortunate enough to be able to convince him to join us full time! Andrew will be helping us build out all kinds of new features that we have planned for JustSayHi, as well as just helping us run the site in general. We are extremely lucky to have him. He's not only the best and smartest developer that I know, but he's also just a great guy and a lot of fun to work with. Andrew's username on JustSayHi is ajb. Please join me in welcoming him to the team! Thanks, and hope you're all enjoying the site. Mike, Vanchau, Matt, and Andrew |

If you get an email letting you know that you have a message on the site, then find that there is no mail once you log in, this is most likely due to the sender having deactivated their account.
The email you received should tell you what username the message was from. If you click on the Search tab, in the box at the top you'll find a link "Search by Username". Click on that link and enter in the username of the user that sent you a message and you can see whether they are still active or not. If they are still active, the email you received should also tell you the date and time that the message was sent on JustSayHi. It's possible that you've already read the message on JustSayHi, but the email notification was delayed due to internet traffic or issues with your ISP. Look in your inbox for a message sent at the same time and from the same user as indicated in the email notification - you should find it there. We do NOT send any fake email notifications - EVER. Hope that helps clarify things. Mike |

Repeated posting of the same post would be considered spamming the boards which is a forum rule violation. Please refrain from making multiple copies of the same post.
Thanks for your cooperation. |

No sorry Tom, you're fine. We made a change to the forums where topics cannot exceed 50 pages in length. Long topics put a bad strain on our servers.
Instead, what happens now is that once a topic exceeds 50 pages in length, it locks and a new topic is automatically created. The new topic will have the same subject as the old one and will show the same original author, but it'll have a "- part X" appended to it. The new topic will link back to the first topic, and vice versa. |

mutual matches repeating
That's not how it's supposed to work. If you've rated someone previously, you shouldn't see them again. We'll take a look and see if we can figure out what's going on. Thanks!
P.S. and thanks so much for the kind words! Glad you are enjoying the site!

Doing a little clean up to remove duplicate topics, let's keep this one...

P.S. when a topic is continued, the original poster of the topic will still be displayed under the "Started By" column when you're a viewing the list of topics in the forum. So if you've started a bar, pub, etc., it'll still be your bar when the topic continues

Hi folks,
Just a quick FYI - we added a feature today where topics that are longer than 50 pages will now autolock and continue in a new topic. We had to do this to minimize our server load: long topics put a strain on our database. The last post in the old topic wll have a little "continued at this topic" link, and the first post in the new topic will also have a link back to the old topic. Just wanted to let everyone know about the change in case you were confused. Thanks, and hope you are all enjoying the site! Mike |
