First, it sounds as if you are clicking on an ad.

Second, your 'Friend' invitations appear on your
'Account' page, next to 'Mail' and bracketed in red.

Your options will appear as:

That probably will depend upon what the website is about.
They are not allowed on here if they promote commercially.

They may have deactivated before the email went through.
You can check this by clicking on their username on
the notification.

Also, the mail can get caught in the filters, i.e.,
language, links, etc.

Now, don't get excited, I was only able to grab
the thumbnail (unable to enlarge it for some reason )
which leads me to believe the images have corrupted
format somewhere.

I placed it in MY photobucket to see it.

My suggestion is, you attempt a reload but I will
guess it also will not work.
Beyond me, sorry :-)

Still testing here:

Enlarged the thumbnail at photobucket, recopied the
link and it finally picked up the enlargement.
Some strange stuff here :-)
Loses pixel quality when you have to enlarge, of course.
