My single girlfriend and I were talking the other night. While she's rather bitter towards men, her comment was, that "a girl wants a man that will buy her nice things and take her places".. At my age, I think I agree.  What century are we living in? Why can't the woman buy the man nice things and take him places, also? Absolutely ! if she can afford it - why not? |

Maybe investigations should have been throughly done on Eisenhower, Bush Sr., AndJF Kennedy! Just to name a few, who had accusations of being in extra marital affairs Years ago. I know you're being sarcastic - but it goes to show you how much power the media has today - back then they "minded their business" and gave public people some privacy. I thought it was so ironic that Clinton was caught fooling around with Monica when his idol was JFK. Supposedly even Jefferson had an affair and had a child with one of his slaves. I think Europe was laughing at us when the news broke about Clinton a lot of men have affairs - I'm not condoning it. But what's that expression? power is the ultimate aphrodisiac?. As for Hilary - I can't believe people criticized her for staying with Bill - I know a lot of women who wouldn't vote for her each time she ran because of that. Me ? I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when she found out - I bet she reamed him out 20 ways until Sunday!

I usually tell my brother and my niece and nephew that I love them when ever I talk to them - my closest friend sometimes - I think it's important to tell the people you love how you feel. You can tell if someone loves you by their actions, but for me I like to hear it said - I never get tired of hearing it,

Just passing through various threads and stopped here to say that I've come to the conclusion that the art of conversation is dead! Does no one know how to carry conversations these day?  Sorry, rant over! Sadly it seems like you're just banging your head against a brick wall  Seriously though , one person's rant is someone else's finely tuned point of view, and I've had more than a few ..so please feel free to rant on about anything under the sun  The topic of this thread is "let's chat" but when I read the posts it's either hey or hello.....nothing more! Seems like the art of conversation is dying. One word responses just doesn't do it for me unfortunately Me neither which is one of the reasons I don't text!

why not test all employees for gun ownership and mental stability as well, they probably shouldnt be employed IF they are found to be unstable with weapons ... or test these suburban kids families for mental instability before admitting them to school, dont want to risk more school shootings the list of excuses of why we demean people out of 'precaution' could be endless preemptive assumption of guilt doesnt work so well, stick to treating people suspicious only AFTER they have done something to deserve it. Great post! I totally agree

It doesn't mean a thing. Men are a dime a dozen and women have the prerogative to change their mind every two minutes. Even marriage doesn't guarantee anything these days, it's just a government contract to ensure you'll pay once she changes her mind. Don't read much into what women do, it's a waste of your time. What do you mean that men are a dime a dozen? women far outnumber men - at least here in Ma where I live! |
