Here down south TN. Yesterday we had snow flurries and they left us with a temp of bitter 28 degrees today brrrr. I left Minnesota to get away from the cold. Apparently I didn't move far enough!!! But, the bright side of this weather, I get to cuddle up with my blanket in front of my fireplace listening to christmas carols with hot coco! The only thing I lack is a partner to share with.

I have had all my family members in the Military. And at 53 I am now myself as a senior member in the Civl Air Patrol Program! This program is run by the Air force for kids 12 to 21. Excellent program! And they are always looking for retired personnel to sign up to help these kids! So if you are ex military and want to continue being part of the service do it this way. Just type in Civil Air Patrol in your search. My grandson has been in it for a year and it has changed his life completely, as before he was a problem child. To join this program you could of been in any branch of service.

I would consider going, be polite, but not stay the whole time. I would go to the reception for a brief time, leave after the mother-son dance, as there may be grandkids someday and I would want to see them and be part of the grandchilds life!
I would buy or make the most treasurable gift I thought they would appreciate to let them know I love them no matter what the circumstances are.
Good luck, hope things work out for all!

One day, while going to the store, I passed by a nursing home.
On the front lawn were six old ladies lying naked on the grass.
I thought this was a bit unusual, but continued on my way to the store.
On my return trip, I passed the same nursing home with the same six old ladies lying naked on the lawn.
This time my curiosity got the best of me, so I went inside to talk to the Nursing Home Administrator.
'Do you know there are six ladies lying naked on your Front lawn?'
'Yes,' she said. 'They're retired prostitutes and they're having a yard sale.
