QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: Fox news lies though. It claims to be "fair and balanced" which it obviously is not. So false advertising should be a charge against them by the whitehouse or justice system or whoever. Now if they advertised it as "unfair and unbalanced" there would be no problem..lol Well seeing as no charges have been filed against them they must report the truth. TJN, there is absolutely no point arguing with Dragoness. She is one of the most whacked-out far leftists on this board, and there is nothing you can say to change her mind that everything those on the left do is good, and everything those on the right do is evil. Umm...she's an Independent. |

QUOTE: QUOTE: I feel that pre-k through 8 are preparing the child for high school. 9-12 are preparing them for college. That's how I'm looking at it for my child. And college prepares you for what? Not for a job, since grade twelve prepares you to be a productive member of society. College prepares you for life? But you're already alive at college entrance age, you've proven you could do it for 18-19 years, what can they teach you? Ergo, college is a waste of time, effort, energy, carbon atoms, spilt seed on the ground, bad beer, ear drums, gasoline, and mainly, brains. College prepares one for a job/career. It taught me a lot. |

QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: sure. let's add philosopy. hell kids don't need the science or math that we already can't pay for. drop shop too and throw in some art apreciation. not like we need auto mechanics or carpenters in this country and those tools are speeeeeeeendy. you don't think art is important in school? what's important in k-12 above anything else is what prepares a child to be a productive adult that can contribute to his/her own and a future family's welfare. budgets are tight and we cannot afford everything in schools. what's important is relative to available funds and staffing. I feel that pre-k through 8 are preparing the child for high school. 9-12 are preparing them for college. That's how I'm looking at it for my child. of course you have the right to home school your child as you wish. but we're talking about tax payer dollars and what the priorities are. relatively few will attend college but what purpose is college if not to prepare your child for a prosperous career? point being, all children need education that readies him/her to make a productive living for themselves and their family whether or not they can afford college. I'm not home schooling my child. Education is a priority for me for my child. My child needs to be able to support themselves when I'm gone. My child is attending a good school that is preparing them for a college prep high school. My child knows that college is expected for them in the future. |

QUOTE: To add to this, when I click on MY account page, the area that has photos titled "People you might be interested in" is blank! The "upgrade" profile space is not even showing -- just an empty gap where normally 6 profiles are showing. Melody, I just clicked onto your profile to see your new pic better. Your main pic, that I see on the threads, is not on your profile. Strange. |

QUOTE: full article here: http://www.reformation.org/vaccine.html Yes, the Torah says NOT to make any cuttings in the flesh. Look at nature. Everyting that bites and punctures your skin: snakes, spiders, scorpions, mosquitos, ect. Is there a reason children NATURALLY fear the needle and cry? It is their God-given insticts.
Shots hurt children. That's why they cry when they get them. When they fall down and skin their knee, it hurts them and they cry then too.

QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: Somehow, romanticising the Old South, with its reliance on slavery, doesn't seem all the Capitalistic to me. -Kerry O. The old south was no more "reliant on slavery" than the North. I suggest you try reading the book (not to mention "The Real Lincoln", "The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History" by DiLorenzo and The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Civil War" by Crocker). Lincoln never said the war was about Slavery. He even said that he would have kept slavery if it could end the war. Is was always just his way of using force to prevent the States from exercising their Constitutional right to ignore unconstitutional laws/taxes. The aforementioned reading will help you greatly, as you seem to rely on hackneyed cliches and false facts more than verifiable history in my experience with you. I stand by the rest of the post that you didn't quote- DiLorenzo is a rightwing, League of the South nutjob with about zero peer review. You can believe what you like and express your opinion on here until the sun goes out, but it will still be only your opinion. As for your reading list, I can find authors without agendas to counter any 'fact' the ones you read who share your agenda may spin. As for the personal attack, you might want to read the TOU and the latest "Read before posting" note from the Admin. -Kerry O. That was not a personal attack. It was a criticism of your lack of scholarship and factual knowledge. There is a DRAMATIC differnece. I already read the TOU, thanks. Further, DiLorenzo has been peer reviewed, FYI. He is a professor of Economics at Loyola College. He holds a PhD in economics from Virginia Tech. He is on the faculty at the Ludwig Von Mises Institute. Your criticisms hold no water. Criticizing what you interpret as someone's lack of scholarship and knowledge is a personal attack. |

QUOTE: HAHAHAHA!!!! Apparently CNBC, CNN, The NYT, Reuters and the Washington Post are so eager to go to bat for the debacle that is the proposed cap-and-trade "climate change" legislation trumpeted by the Obama Administration that they can be duped in to running with a fake press release stating that the US Chamber of Commerce had changed it's stance on the controversial legislation. A press release that had the name of the Chamber President misspelled.. This from the "news organizations" that fact checked a Saturday Night Live skit but can't be bothered to do the same regarding the lies they tell about someone like Rush Limbaugh and instead rely on wikipedia citations..

QUOTE: QUOTE: For the record,I am not a woman,I can be obsessive and those 'in the know' know the meaning of 'be seeing you'.. be seeing you
Whatever your reasons (I don't care- it's just silly) your point was that most all women somehow manage to think with their emotions. By your own logic you've basically called MOST males women as well... From what I've observed guys don't usually like getting called that. But! To not like something would imply emotion as well. So this logic that all women think with their emotions means that men do as well. And THUS MAKES ALL OF THE HUMAN RACE: WOMEN. Nice to see you again, Kaadeshka.
Welcome back.
