I socialize in my area, but don't really care for the options in my area anymore. I have met a few here on mingle, but no one worth being the one so far. I have been messaged by a few men that I find interesting, but they are not in my area or state. I guess the adventure I've been wanting in my life is about to begin.....Gotta love the fall season and the opportunities it bring  I live in a large city, and I still have problems finding quality guys to date. But i don't do long distance relationships. So I keep myself content doing things I like, keep my options open.  To Fall

I do socialize with others where I live. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" is often true. I make first contact if I see a profile to my liking by just saying hello. Often works for me! I am ready to date, have been for some years. Mingle moves a bit slow in that area thou. Mingle does move slow at times, but I love the forums here.

I wasn't ready for a long time. I wasn't even on any dating sites up until here recently. I had people ask me out, or offer to help ,e in exchange for things. I turned them all down.I just did some soul searching, and found who I was again. I went back to school, and just concentrated on my kids. Now I'm slowly stepping back into the dating scene, but cautiously. Only because I'm weeding out the fakes, pigs, and losers.... if it happens it happens, if not its for a reason.  great attitude to have . . . good luck. |

After I got divorced, I could not care less about the opposite sex. I could pass by people on the street and not know if they were male or female, so little was I interested. I recognized this, and kept to myself. I knew I was not ready for anything at all. I had not the heart for it. Then, one day, 4 years later, I was at a store and as I looked down an aisle, a guy was loading stuff onto shelves. I recall smiling. I was thinking, now THERE'S a man. Whoa. Shocked me. I was back, ready, if the opportunity presented itself. And..it did. Methinks if you cannot give a free and open heart, no strings attached, to another human, you should wait. Until you can.

Are you serious about finding "The One?" If so how hard do you try? Do you sit around and wait for someone to notice your profile? Or do you actively message people? Do you get out of the house and socialize in person, have real contact with other singles? What steps are your taking to find your one? I will be the first to admit, I am guilty of just sitting behind a computer screen, but Then I realized, it was because I was not really ready for a relationship. In the last year, I have ventured out of my "Bubble" and tried to be more proactive in finding dates, meeting and socializing with others. It has been a learning experience. But nothing ventured . . nothing gained. . Right? |
