On the other hand... If I were to set up a meet with you, and this bird shows up..I will be gone so fast that you don't have time to get your head out of the hole

QUOTE: QUOTE: Dancere looks even better than her profile pictures in real life, even the old ones!!! I was very pleasantly surprised at the honest accuracy....
Thats exactly it!!! JUST BE HONEST! i think it's nothing to do with honesty. EVERYONE puts up the most flattering picture they can. it's more to do with not wanting to date an unattractive person. plain and simple...
but people choose to mask that unpleasant reality by trying to claim moral superiority. if someone looks better than their picture, that still is dishonesty... but somehow, no one cares

QUOTE: On my last site, several years ago now, the pictures i had up originally were not so flattering, so someone told me... I first emailed a particular lady asking for help buying a webcam. It was an excuse to talk to her, as i knew from her posts that she insisted on knowing the people she talked to were 'real'. So she helped me choose the webcam, and when i got it, i went into the chat rooms on the site and showed my face. I remember her commenting on how much better i looked compared to my pictures, and that they were not very flattering. I didnt realise that my pictures werent particularly good. That lady was pink_lady. We will be living together from next month. awesome. i love success stories

it just seems hypocritical to me.

QUOTE: I went out with a guy who looked hot as hell in his pic. Turned out he had airbrushed the hell out of it. Over dinner he told me a woman had actually left him stranded in a restaurant because he looked nothing like his pics. Would I have gone out with him if I had known what he really looked like? Probably not. But I still think it's stupid to lie, people have eyes, they will find out. but my question was the reverse. suppose his picture was unflattering, or suppose he had taken the picture months ago and in the interim worked his *** off in a gym... would the "lying" bother you then? |

Wonder...
QUOTE: Well, you struck my curiosity as well and I had to try it. Typing 'mingle1.com' in the address bar brought up what looks like an adult dating advice website called luv TV. And 'mingle.com' brought up a link page to various other dating sites. So I reckon there is no Mingle1. But Mingle2 has apparently set the standard for the word 'Mingle' to make the internet associate it with dating.
