Trusting the government is insane. Governments are evil by necessity. And a necessary evil. There is no way around it.
It is the duty of every patriot to be ready to stand against the oppression of their government. |

The latest is they aren't going to block the bonus payments. They're simply going to tax them at 100%.

QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: I could have picked a source that was one sided.......You failed to mention the ones that disagree. Do you realize what you just said? You also picked sources there were one sided on your side. Some are for him, some against. That's just the way it is. Not sure what all the pessimism accomplishes. I just prefer to stick to the side that has optimism and those that agree, then wait and see.. Ya I know I'm a hopeless liberal.
If only we knew which side really had the crystal ball and weren't just guessing... I checked my crystal ball this morning. It said: Shut up! Geez, I really need to get that thing fixed..
I hear a hammer and a blowtorch work wonders. |

QUOTE: I could have picked a source that was one sided.......You failed to mention the ones that disagree. The point is, the economists never agree on how the economy should be handled. Nothing new there. They're pretty much like movie critics. Ineffectual but always willing to offer up their opinions.

QUOTE: QUOTE: I will always be weary of those who second guess the experts decisions as though they themselves are experts. The US economy is not your household economy. You could study economics for years and still never understand enough or be picked to hold one of these economist's jobs! Keep dreaming though and listening to the doctor, who doesn't even practice medicine, (Ron Paul)!
Heck, He may even make a lucky guess. One day!!!
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/jan/30/barack-obama/some-economists-disagree-obama/ There are many economist that do not agree with Obama. So what? QUOTE: Before we go much further, we should point out that there are many economists who do believe a stimulus is needed, and yesterday. For what it's worth, the most recent recipient of the Nobel for economics, Paul Krugman, supports the stimulus and has written about how wrong the opponents are.
From the source you cited... Who to believe...

I think Obama is doing the right thing. Unfortunately, I think it's too little, too late at this point. I hope I'm wrong.

QUOTE: Mississippi is banning Red Light cameras! Some lawmakers say emergency responders and vehicles in funeral processions have been ticketed for running red lights. (House Bill 1568.) It is awaiting Gov. Haley Barbour's signature...(He is expected to sign it.) Cameras already installed must be removed by October 1st. That's funny. |
