So God is a cartoonist I guess. You know! The guy who creates Alt worlds
where you get your head blown off and still live. How about the wilie
Coyote who falls off a cliff while trying to catch to poor roadrunner
and slams into the floor below and still is able to try another stunt.

Seems the same thing to me with that bible thingy. Defy the laws that
God created for ones own purpose.
So if God can do all that. Why can't he create a rock that he can't
lift?

Because we created God in our own image.

Good Point Ghostrecon, You forgot one thing. If People created God then
who made the universe. I can assure that I did not.
The theories are man made, so can we also say that we are at the
hands of science and what they tell us. So are we right back where we
started. (man created science in his own image?)
A God Made in mans image or a universe bound and found by the
intelligence of mankind. If we were brought up in a science explained
universe (godless) then people would be running around
saying, Science is a myth until it can be proven. Theory is not proof.
Our view point is not the be/end all of truth. Things do not become more
true or false as mankind learns new things.
Ok, so we are technologically advanced and know some things that have
been proven such as the earth is not flat and not at the center of the
universe and ocean water contains all known minerals.
Pretty smart comparitivly to the dark ages. Is this the end of what
mankind has to learn?
I predict in the future, many things we believe today will be
disproven. So if this prediction is true, then how could you believe
soley in what man know's up to this point in time to disprove the bible.
And if we did know everything there was to know, mankind could at least
prove there is no God, at least.

" If we were brought up in a science explained

Hey there John.

Why do you think that Science and God can't co-exist?

" Is this the end of what
mankind has to learn?"

No. Not at all. But though some religious folks, they feel that to
question the bible is the road to damnation. Such as Fedman who thinks
that if you question some aspect of the bible. You are somehow
dispelling the idea of a God or the bible is a myth. I understand that
to some folks who grew up learning certain things and then reading about
that which they learned were said to be false could cause them to be
upset over that issue. But my philosophy is always question what man
says as far as science and religion.
What gets me is that ppl are more apt to believe such stuff as religion
and it's hocus pocus (I'm talking about all religions now. Not just
Christians. Pagan,Wicca, buddha,Islam,etc....) And put little faith in
science.
Yes, science has a lot of theories but I tell you what. If we based our
life solely on religion. You can guess this. We would still be living in
the dark ages.

God and science actually co-exist quite nicely. It's just some of the
scientists that figure science precludes the fact that there is a God.
And on the flip side of the coin, there have been scientists that
starting believing in God because of their studies. Oddly enough, the
belief in science IS actually a religion. I'm not talking about
believing science exists, I'm talking about believing that science is
the be all and end all for the answers to life. Where religious ppl look
to their god(s) for answers and comfort, agnostics/atheists tend to do
the same with science, altho religion doesn't necessarily have to be the
worship of the standard God or gods. Religion can be the worship of
ANYTHING. Money, science, politics, opium, sex, it really doesn't
matter. We are ALL religious in some way or another.
