Nobody will ever right in the religios battles until we all have the
same skin, same language, same everything. If I had my own religion,
people would be taught you should (should, not have to) get married to
someone of another race. If everybody did that, the world would be a
better place. Eventually, everyone would be the same, and we wouldn't
have petty diffences because of skin color, or anything like that.

The thing that grinds my gears more than anything, is down here in the
south, you hear rednecks sayin crap like, "Look, that girls got a mixed
baby." Its not the baby's decision as to what color he/she is. Its a
human being. I think racism still runs WAY TOO RAMPANT out here, and I
think its sick.

I agee w/you I think that ppl that judge ppl by their color when they're
deciding whether they want to be w/someone is sooo midevil and rather
pathetic. There is racism from all races and it is soo sad.
As for you starting your own relgion red I think that if you're serious
you should pursue it. Maybe you could be the person that turns the world
around. It only takes one person to start something great.flowerforyou

I've thought about it more and more since we moved here to the south. Ya
never know, if ya see a sign up on a church that says "One world, One
nation" then come on in. I'll be on the stage.

Yer ALMOST right Red, but..look at the Christian faith, sooo many
sub-sects that can't even agree. Look at the BS that went on in Northern
Ireland for all those decades. Yeah yeah, I know it was more political
than religious, but it was still divided amongst religious lines. If we
all had the same religious belief, then politics would be the clarion
call to arms. If it isn't that, it'll be over natural resources or for
more "liebensraum". Mankind will always find a reason to kill his fellow
man in the name of SOMETHING.

maybe so in the beginning their was not religious problems who really
knows but it started a long time ago over religion back then it was the
jewish people of israel and all other people who did not believe in
israels God, Israel has always had other countries, kings and pharoahs
after them. I am sure there was alot of killing for other reasons,
national treasures, food, money many things. There will always be
killing hell for some people it's a thrill nothing more.

Religon's got nothing to do with it.

Greed, Power, Abuse - it exists in every collective organization.
Religon tells us that a man can have virtue, morals, and ethics without
the need for organizational structures.

As we all know, religons are also the very collective force that keeps
us together, and is often a social identity. Where people want to rule
is where the warfronts and problems fester.

On the other hand, I could easily sit down and share a meal with a jew,
a muslim, a hindu, a pagan, an atheist, a christian (well, not the
pentencostals - <tease!>) - anyone who is pious about HIS faith, and is
willing to teach it, but, not compel it, is fine by me. I have trust in
a man who has a creed, and HE lives by it. Doesnt have to match my
creed, doesnt have to be 100% agreeable to me - but the fact that he has
a clear set of morality/ethics and stands by them makes him important.

The problem then, as I see it, that not enough ppl stand by their faith
for themselves, and too often the ol'human nature of Power/Greed slips
in where Apathy has overun the pews.

well religion iwithin the US NO but yes religion elsewhere, it's the
twisted religious freaks that cause alot of it like the terrorists and
their religious beliefs that killing the "Infidels" will guarantee them
passage to heaven along with what? 13 virgins? so yeah religion has
alot to do with some of it and border dispustes as with the palestinians
and israel along with pakistan and india among many other countries. But
religion does fit into the equation.

that is so true Mike but, "Religion tells us that a man can have virtue,
morals, and ethics without the need for organizational structures."
And yet, many believers are compelled to attend church(an organizational
structure) because said religious organizational structure instructs
them to do so. We get so hung up on trying to interperet and
re-interperet "hidden" messages in the Bible we keep forgetting the MAIN
message.

oh Fedman, Fedman, Fedman noway The US has it's own religious
fundamentalists that are also pushing for the "big one" in the middle
east because they WANT the 2nd coming to come soon. And Bush is one of
them. Hell, the republican party is one the biggest Christian
fundamentalist groups there is!!
