Parents can be jailed here in NC if their child keeps missing a lot of school.

Its pretty F***ing stupid that parents dont take a more involved part in developing thier children. A GED...parents should get jailed if their kids dont graduate with 2.0 or better! You have to be retarded not to get a 2.0!

I remember some years ago, my best friend was brought to court because her child kept skipping school. Her daughter was doing drugs and sneaking off with a guy that was 30 years older then her.

Anyway, my friend asked the Judge, what she could do about it, because she couldn't physically force her daughter to go to school.

The Judge told her,"A good swat on the butt could change her mind real quick." Me, my friend, her lawyer, and the DA had to pick our jaws up off the floor because we were so shocked.
