got this from one of my message boards.

Please be aware that a recently announced Microsoft Windows
vulnerability was identified that if exploited could allow the execution
of malicious code to affect a user’s machine by simply clicking on a web
link. Players are urged to exercise caution when clicking on web links.
It’s also important to note that even with all of the latest security
updates, your system could still be vulnerable to this particular
exploit until such a time when a patch is released.

not sure if its ie or a firefox thing. i personally use firefox

Microsoft is contantly updating and releasing security patches and
fixes. Maybe one day they will get with the program and stop trying to
be so propriatary and release a product that is not only ready but also
complies with the world's internet standards.

Prime example of this would be IE-7 while is is their most compliant
browser to date for CSS. It still requires conditional comments and does
not comply with the international standards completely for web design.

Their excuse was they did not want to break all the old sites that are
not compliant. However Firefox which is now open source by mozilla is
far closer to being standards compliant then IE and it doesnt need
conditional comments to display a web page that contains floats instead
of tables.

well i got problems with microsoot anyway. gates going on tv saying we
need to make our kids smarter in sciences then in the same sentence
saying he wants more open visa's for tech skilled wokers to come to
america (so he can hire them) is a disgrace

Let me start by saying that firefox rules as now. IE& is cool, but of
course it has problems. I think that problems are all we see from
microsoft. Windows is cool, but do you know what's better?? For the
record though, there are always going to be problems with every OS.
There is always room for improvment.

Funny thing about that idea of the visas. I have been considering moving
to Austrailia and you would be suprised how hard it is to get a visa to
move to a different country even with a highly technical background. If
you are not weathy it is almost impossible. You have to have the
government there sponsor you to get into the country.

Gates wants to get all his outsourced programmers US citizenship. That
is all. While Microsoft employees that participate in their stock
program are all wealthy. If you dig a little into it you will find it is
probably a company you would not want to work for in the future anyhow.

You are young you should be focusing on learning about what you already
have available to you. There are hundreds of different Open source
projects out here you could learn about and develop with. Knowing the
open source languages and technologies at your age will surely gaurantee
your success in life.

If I would have been more serious about my studies at your age then I
was I would probably be a millionaire by now. If not I would surely not
have to settle for a job at less then 150k a year. Instead, I got
intensive a few years ago and am still trying to learn more while at the
same time many jobs out there want skills I have yet to be comfortable
with. It is a never ending learning experience I refer to as life.
