Its who gets the fiqures and what they do with them, that creates the
bias. They can twist the facts and confuse ppl, while making it look
like the truth. If it is the democrats they will omit facts and
manipulate other facts to make the Repub look bad, or visa versa. The
NRA does it, MADD does it, cigg manufactureres do it, health agencies do
it. ETC...............

Besides. We're *america*. We don't have the privilege of turning
illegals away. Not while the Statue of Liberty still stands.

"Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath
free"

So we either dismantel the statue or we let them in. Although it'd be
better if we'd just make it easy for them to get in legally. Or maybe an
"indentured servant" system. Something or another.

The Statue of Liberty does not and never has meant illegal immigration.
PPl keep saying that but they are wrong.

It doesn't mean illegal immigration. It means *unlimitted* immigration.
It means it's wrong of us to put any requirements on those who want to
get into this country, other than that to prove they're not dangerous
criminals.

And we put over three times the restrictions on hispanic immigrants as
we do ANY other part of the world. Even in the post 9/11 world, we still
accept arabs more readily than mexicans.

What they're doing wouldn't BE illegal if we'd actually practice what
we claim.

The media is lying about our illegal immigration crisis. For example:

The liberal media isn't going to report the fact that only 2 percent of
illegal aliens are actually picking fruit and vegetables, but 41 percent
are on welfare!
The liberal media isn't going to report that 1 in 10 babies born in the
U.S. are to illegal aliens.
The liberal media isn't going to report that 60 percent of Housing and
Urban Development funds go to illegal aliens.

The liberal media isn't going to report that 13 Americans are killed
each day by uninsured drunk driving illegals

They don't report this stuff cause they are restricted to using factual
data (or at least data which can be sourced and verified).

"Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath
free"

No matter how many times I read this, I do not find the words
“opportunistic criminals”.

“It doesn't mean illegal immigration. It means *unlimitted* immigration.
It means it's wrong of us to put any requirements on those who want to
get into this country, other than that to prove they're not dangerous
criminals.”

Nope, not even close to the intent when the French gave it to us. Might
want to check the actual history on the statue.

“What they're doing wouldn't BE illegal if we'd actually practice what
we claim.”

You mean like actually enforcing border control so they wouldn’t be able
to sneak into the US in the first place? That would be nice.

PeekABoo,

Could you help us understand some of your concepts:

1) You refer to anyone crossing your border as an 'Illegal' and a
'criminal'.

Now, while your laws are quite clear on the sublect, ALL your law
enforcing elements, starting with Washington and its concerted
governmental facitilties, are not only ignoring the law, but encouraging
people from Mexico in particular, to keep crossing the Border in droves.

They are in fact sending a clear message that totally contradicts your
laws: "... Not only are we not going to do much to catch you crossing
the border, but we will keep offering you jobs when you arrive, and look
the other way when the 'population' asks for your deportation".

WHO ARE TH ILLEGALS AND CRIMINALS HERE?!?!?

2) Can you help us reconciliate these other two concepts, given that the
'illegals' might turn to be some of your own?!?!?

"Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath
free" (Mexican people among others, would fall in that category,
wouldn't they?)

and,

You mean like actually enforcing border control so they wouldn’t be able
to sneak into the US in the first place? That would be nice.

How can we say: 'give us your tired, your poor,..." and ask that they
come in 'legally', when WA and your business communities have no
intention of enforcing that they come in in a 'legal' manner!!!

Please help!
