Ask to talk to them, and be open. If you are hostile or confrontative, the person's natural response will be to become defensive.

Tell the person you want to resolve the issue, and tell them how you feel. Then, all you can do is hope they own up and apologize. After all, if they aren't "getting it", then no amends can be made. They have to want to resolve the conflict.

I hope you're not in the situation, Lee. It's tough when someone you care about hurts your feelings, then avoids you afterwards.

But I've found if I am nice about it, they are too. Being friends is a hard relationship too...

We agree to disagree. There isn't a need to yell and scream about stuff that you won't resolve.

I recently felt I had to do this.. I went to the person told them very softly.
I am sorry you feel the way you do, I wish that I could take your pain and anger away. It would be so easy for me to say I did this when I didn't. Yet if I did you would lost respect for me for lying.
Help to help you overcome this. I care about you and want you in my life I miss you.

Not exactly but pretty close to what I said to someone this week.

I have to agree with Dragonfly... I refuse to yell and scream to get my point across. I also will always try to Respectively agree to disagree first and foremost. IF that doesn't work I try the above method.

I had someone recently do something really bad to me. I know the only way to make amends with myself is to forgive her but at this time I just cant. And she ruined a friendship and I am sad about that. I will forgive her eventually.....just not right now. I just wont ever be her friend.

In the classic sense, you should talk to the person and apologize and then ask them what you can do to make it right.
