I know, many probably don't even know, or fall out of the usual European trip..but please go visit around, there are plenty to see, plus Budapest was voted in one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe,

(if you're a girl and like me, I'll take you around, I'm going there sometime the Spring..I'm from Hungary :wink: )

let me quote wikipedia:

Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, its World Heritage Sites include the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrássy Avenue, and the Millennium Underground Railway, the first on the European continent. In addition, the largest thermal water cave system in the world was discovered under Budapest in 2008.
The city attracts over 20 million visitors a year. The headquarters of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) will be in Budapest.

I'm gonna show you some pictures:

Wow! Looks like an amazing city.

I went to Prague a couple years ago, and had a blast. Eastern Europe rocks!

Do you know if they use the Euro in Hungary?

That is one thing I LOVED about Prague. They don't use the Euro, so everything was dirt cheap.

You can use Euro and even dollar, but the standard currency is Forint..still the same old same old...no switch until like 2013 or something.. 1 Dollar is like 215 Forints...but things aren't that cheap, but surely you are still better off than in the Euro currency users.

One of the important thing is, don't get ripped off. Many "do" speak English even if they tell you otherwise, especially in the Capital. Watch for the taxi drivers charging you and stay clear of suspicious sellers and people want to give you a deal. They are wickedly smart how to cheat the unsuspecting tourist, especially who got no idea how much things cost.
