not sure i know what you are talking about... but IMO some pretend to be stronger than they are for different reasons (not all bad ones either)

what are you referring to?

depends on the situation, you have to observe what they do to certain stimuli, and if they screw it up.....have second thoughts about setting them free with it.

Sometimes you need to give them the benefit of the doubt, then set a time frame in your head, and assess how they were in that time frame you set...Some can do it, some can say they can, but can't...Dignity is a huge thing for many, especially when it comes to the Aged...

Each case is different, but with my elderly Grandmother and my paralized sister what I know to be true is that THEY believe they can take care of themselves; they WANT to be able to take care of themselves, but the reality is that often times they can not. That's when you watch, observe, and ~ if necessary ~ take action to protect them while still allowing them to keep their dignity.

Teenages?!?! Whole different story! laugh

I think some do. But I noticed my mom's driving is not all that great, and when she gets sick she just doesnt care and even though she thinks she is helping herself she really is not. Plus my dad should stop smoking becuase he has some health issues. Various things I notice. But not just adults, teenagers do it to and so do children.
