Ladies... Have you ever split from a relationship and have that person send you a poem so beautiful, so full of passion and so loving such as the one I was sent below?

There was an emotional discussion which I had stated my feelings.. and from that discussion the communication between us died. Texts were left unanswered, phone calls were left unanswered, emails were also left unanswered. Because of the lack of communication.. I sent him what I thought would be my last email stating that I could and would not put myself through all of these games.. that I was done... and that is when he sent me this email...

I need you to have this as I wrote it for you before it all went down.
It would be only appropriate that you have it.

Come be my true love amongst 10,000 roses.
They will raise their fragrant beauty to the sun,
Adding their color to our first day of many.

Come be my one true love with throngs of people.
Busy people passing us by, traveling on trains.
Walking on streets we will not notice them at all.

Come and be my true love in a chair by a lake.
We shall sit all afternoon,in the beauty of the dark greens,
We will not notice when the evening wind picks up their boughs.

Come Love, visit my space. Lie with me.
There is space for you in the empty house.
And I will take you in, tenderly & passionately. Sharing.

And, as you come to me Love, I shall come to you.
Shadows will fade and healing light will brighten your walls.
For Love, love heals, soothes, overtakes and endures.

Come as I promise my love to you, Love.
Forever. Until the end of time.
Endless and without edges my love is for you, my Love.

Of course I responded with.. how beautiful this was and why now after all was ended.. his response was...

Because I wrote a few weeks ago and it was inspired by you.

Why now...why after the fact?? Or are these games being played?? I have since moved on.. but it would be a lie if I said that this does not still play on my heart strings.. what do you think??

Invitation to the Voyage

Think, would it not be
Sweet to live with me
All alone, my child, my love? —
Sleep together, share
All things, in that fair
Country you remind me of?
Charming in the dawn
There, the half-withdrawn
Drenched, mysterious sun appears
In the curdled skies,
Treacherous as your eyes
Shining from behind their tears.

There, restraint and order bless
Luxury and voluptuousness.

We should have a room
Never out of bloom:
Tables polished by the palm
Of the vanished hours
Should reflect rare flowers
In that amber-scented calm;
Ceilings richly wrought,
Mirrors deep as thought,
Walls with eastern splendor hung,
All should speak apart
To the homesick heart
In its own dear native tongue.

There, restraint and order bless
Luxury and voluptuousness.

See, their voyage past,
To their moorings fast,
On the still canals asleep,
These big ships; to bring
You some trifling thing
They have braved the furious deep.
— Now the sun goes down,
Tinting dyke and town,
Field, canal, all things in sight,
Hyacinth and gold;
All that we behold
Slumbers in its ruddy light.

There, restraint and order bless
Luxury and voluptuousness.

I think he answered you honestly...he wrote when he felt so strongly for you... he wanted you to have the part of him, that felt you, saw you, and created in him, a want.

He was showing you, where and what you brought out in him.

treasure it... you affected him deeply, and he had the balls to share it with you.

You know fessing up...leaves us vulnerable, we lose our 'control'...and it can panic us...and communication can go down the gurgler, especially if both get reactive... no-one is hearing the fear in the other... each just escalates the fear...

it takes a strong heart and a strong mind to call a time out... and then to create the space to allow one's feelings to be seen....trust.... it's a rare and unique gift.

Jess, you just helped me see something I was missing and you didn't even know it. Thank you.

Someone can write pretty poetry, or copy it, and tell you whatever he wants. If he was playing games before this, it's just another round.

I agree with you to a point, but without knowing this guy, who is to say he is not being honest and sincere! Words can be a powerful thing if they come from the heart.
