A letter would be cowardly, in my opinion. Get together, tell her she is a very sweet girl and will make someone a wonderful girlfriend, etc. someday. Let her know the feelings for her are just not the same and as much as you wish you could feel about her the way she feels for you, it just is not happening that way. Wish her the best of luck.

The trick stuff is pure ****. I don't see why you can't still be friends. If she is all over you tell her she is too needy and needs to branch out, find fulfillment in other places. She does too. If she says no, it's not what I need, then also say, well, it's what I need. I still love you though and we will keep in touch if it's OK with you.
