Oh JAG....

I won't be in a committed relationship with someone who appears unable to take on what I see as the "real man" role. I work, I contribute.......but I want someone who really cares about making his family feel safe and secure, no matter what the economic times are. That kind of guy would do whatever type jobs he had to, in order to feed his family. Yes, it's a 50/50 partnership.....but I won't take away his self worth by making him feel less a man. Call me old fashioned I guess. My dad taught me what a real man looks like, and I'm not stopping until I get one like that.

That's my definition..basically a man like my dad.....laugh

You need me to list the qualities my dad had? I could on for days (rambler....remember?) but I tried to keep it short and sweet.

As always, you are insightful and honest. flowerforyou

This is my personal deffinition for both the male and female side of a relationship.

It's not possible for a true 50/50. But the total should always be 100, the percentage shifts from one side to the other depending on the situation. Each side should be more concerned with the others feelings and needs than thier own. Which is not the same as sacrificing your identity and personal responsibility to yourself. You should live for your partner without killing yourself.

For those that can define it, kudos.

I just think there are a whole lot of people out there who can say it's what they want, but really haven't thought out their definition of what it is.
