If there's no such thing as second (or third... or more) chances, then what the hell are all of us doing here? what

Welcome and I believe with an open heart anything is possible. You seem like a lovely, intelligent woman who will know it when it finds her. Good luck.

Hello and welcome Stargazer!!!flowerforyou

I am going to ask you something here...

ready? laugh

Are you 'healed' from losing your husband?

Have you done your grieving, and are now optimistic in the idea of a NEW romantic relationship?

I suspect, but don't assume, the answers are..'Yes'.

And truthfully we all use past relationships as 'benchmarks' for new ones...be they good or bad experiences that we had.

Are you capable of accepting someone in their uniqueness, take the time to learn them, and start at the beginning?

Sometimes we can want to 'pick up where we left off'..in relationships, and get into a hurry to feel that intimacy, and comfort, that security, we had in the previous relationship...and we forget that took YEARS to develop.

StarGazer....yes.

There is no statute of limitations with Love, loving, and being loved..

Wow. Interesting comments.

First, welcome. I am also widowed. It was 10 yrs for me in June. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm going to assume at the 4 yr mark you have done the grief work involved in moving forward. You will Never forget your husband, of course. And it is normal to compare traits like honesty, being kind etc that they had in looking for someone new to share your life with. I had a guy on here tell me when I First came on here, that "no one would want to date a little widowed girl..who wants to compete with a ghost?!" He couldn't be more wrong. Widowed people actually make excellent companions in the sense that we know what it took to do it right. I will say, however, it takes a special person to be with a widowed person. They have to deal with the fact that there is and always will be dates in the year that adversely hit us. Not everyone is cut out for it.

Do second chances happen? If we're lucky. Just be sure the first one is finished and dealt with. flowerforyou

' Do you believe in love?
Do you believe in destiny?

True love may come
Only once in a thousand lifetimes '

Depends on if you believe this is your lifetime to find it.

I agree...So wait for the right one that deserves ya...
