I went for a wander down to the shops before...get some supplies....have a look at real estate, in the window....

walking home I found a kookaburra sat all puffed up...eyes closed, and looking miserable...

so went back to the supermarket, scrounged an old towel....and brought him/her home....

He/she is tucked into a box in my youngest daughter's room, awaiting the wildlife carer's arrival later today.

I just walked past her room, and hear this strange rustling sound...

I had forgotten about the houseguest, and thought a snake had gotten in...surprised

Does anyone else have strange houseguests?

And of course the Australian Stockhorse is still in the paddock we made her with the electric fence....
she is so wonderfully providing us with ample fertiliser for the vege garden...
the strawberries have never looked so perky..laugh

seems we are having a run of unusual houseguests...spock

For a wild animal let a person take it home like that, sounds like it might be sick. Hope it turns out okay when the proper authorities come pick it up.

My dad says he wished he knew about wildlife vets when he was in school, because he told his career counselor that he liked animals and the outdoors, and he was guided into the forestry program.

We hand feed them, and pat them here....

and have had kookaburras catch some R&R here...

when they have smacked into a window
and have concussion, or ate a whole heap of wasps,

and get belly ache....
that's what this one looks like...
it ate something stingy...

or got bit by a snake as it was eating it...
