where has the days and hours gone
since you were once with me
midnight phone calls, car keys in hand
letters out to boys, movies, concerts,
privacy, listening to rock bands.
My little girl has changed so much
watching you as you've grown
from being a little baby to sweet 16
where oh where has the time flown.
As I sit and watch you spread your wings
finding your nitch in life
always remember to stop back home
for your never to old even when you are grown.
