John Prine has always been my best friend when I thought I had none...yet we never met.

Once I was leaving the Orpheum in Memphis and he was leaning out the side door looking for his taxi (I suppose)...I yelled "John!"...he never even looked over and then slammed the door...I don't blame him since the audience talked during his set while awaiting Bonnie Raitt's show.
