Right across the street from where Tony works...all roads in that part of town were closed and ALL businesses were in lockdown.

A g/f, (who's husband (Chris) works at Emcore Fiber Optics), called me to see if I knew any names of the dead and injuried. She is on the road, returning from a trip in Southern NM. She has heard few details as of yet, but knows a couple of the people who were shot & killed. She today me one of the injuried is her husband's boss and the others work under Chris. Chris, as luck has it is on a business trip in Oklahoma! Nancy feels had he been at work in the office, he could have been involved in this tragedy as he is a smoker and appartently the shooter opened up with gunfire on the smokers first as he entered the building. This place, I am told, only has one designated smoking area outside the building. My g/f asked me to call her back after I hear the 2:00pm update on the news.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

Just watched a live update on TV...seems the lines of communications were a bit tangled between the hospital and police. Now they are saying 7 were shot...1 killed on the spot, 1 died at the hospital and the shooter killed himself. Still so very sad. A woman who was shot was about to contact police about domestic abuse from her live-in boyfriend. There are children involved who were located and are in police custody, they were unharmed. Still no names have been released or the medical condition of that woman...no word to varify if she was the one who died or not.
