Quick to dismiss criticism that they are merely concocting another conspiracy theory, Glattfelder insists that their research is evidence-based. More to the point, do you agree or disagree? No I don't agree.. These banks have shareholders. I own shares in some of these banks. Most anyone that has a retirement account or mutual fund owns shares in these banks. This isn't one or two people that control the bank and have ownership of it's assets. Governments are the problem and they control things.. Goldman Sachs doesn't collect $2.5 trillion in revenue every single year while producing nothing. Think about that. |

A conspiracy theory explains an event as being the result of an alleged plot by a covert group or organization or, more broadly, the idea that important political, social or economic events are the products of secret plots that are largely unknown to the general public. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory For some individuals, an obsessive compulsion to believe, prove, or re-tell a conspiracy theory may indicate one or a combination of well-understood psychological conditions, and other hypothetical ones: paranoia, denial, schizophrenia, mean world syndrome.[35] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_conspiracy_theories The list of conspiracy theories is a collection of the most popular unproven theories related but not limited to clandestine government plans, elaborate murder plots, suppression of secret technology and knowledge, and other supposed schemes behind certain political, cultural, and historical events. They did not have any link to the actual incidents. Some theories are meant to cover up the accusers' own schemes, such as Holocaust denial. Most of them are imaginary works of some people. Conspiracy theories usually go against a consensus or cannot be proven using the historical method and are typically not considered to be similar to verified conspiracies such as Germany's pretense for invading Poland in World War II. The primary tool they use to dominate nations is the system of central banking. They are said to have funded and in some cases caused most of the major wars of the last 200 years, carry out false flag attacks to manipulate populations into supporting them, and they have a grip on the world economy, deliberately causing inflation and depressions at will. Operatives working for the New World Order are said to be placed in high positions in government and industry. |

One question not answered by the study is just how much political power the financial elite are able to wield. John Driffill, a macroeconomics expert at the University of London, told the New Scientist that the interests of 147 companies would most likely be too diverse to sustain collusion.
But while the capitalist network which controls our economy might not be an active conspiracy, they will inevitably have some interests that correspond. The desire to fight any attempts to regulate the network most likely remains a point they can all agree on |

What exactly is being claimed here?
I don't think its a wing nut conspiracy theory just to suggest that a smallish number of people wield an incredible amount of power. |

Anyone with even a basic knowledge of economics and world affairs knows that the wealthy have far too much influence over governmental affairs. Much like Russia used to be pre-1917, and well all know that those who fail to remember the past are doomed to repeat it, don't we?

Operatives working for the New World Order are said to be placed in high positions in government and industry. Okay, so that is a conspiracy theory because is hypothesizes a secret organization, with operatives out there in the world doing the bidding of a centralized authority. Just because that particular spin on the notion is a conspiracy theory, doesn't undermine the idea that a very few people have an astounding amount of control and influence. Certain subsets of those very few people are actually members of private organizations...like...I dunno.... yacht clubs and such. They don't hold secret meetings planning world domination, but they might chat about elections and investments and they may influence each others decisions. And I'm sure they often find themselves having co-aligned interests causing them to work in such a way that it appears to outsiders like its choreographed. It's not choreographed. Its just what like-minded people do. |

The desire to fight any attempts to regulate the network most likely remains a point they can all agree on one thing i have read around, is that some ceo's and board members are also board members of other major corporations, so that 1 person maybe on maybe 5 different boards of different corporations... if that is the case, i can see how they can control the economics to a degree... |

Its just what like-minded people do. 1. Yes there are powerful people. Yes there are rich people. They attend social functions, eat at restaurants and many of them have been shown to use the same toilets! So what big deal. What is claimed by Opto among others is that there is an unprovable wing nut global conspiracy in the classical version of that delusion exactly as described in books on the subject of "Classic Conspiracy Theories" and in the Wiki. Ooooo Ooooo Ooooo!! |

What does Goldman Sachs produce? credit.. and without it the world grinds to a halt.. Is this the same Goldman Sachs that were involved in the Greek cover-up from the EU and led Greece to the brink of Bankruptcy.? Is this the same Goldman Sachs that have been involved in the Bush and Obama Administrations? Is this the same Goldman Sachs that has perfected insider Trading? shall I go on? The World can do without Goldman Sachs tomorrow morning |
