What you call spin, I call absolute truth. Yours is spin. Mine is truth. Name calling is not a credible argument.

Truth:
The world 'Semitic' does not apply to people but to languages of the Middle Eastern and East African region such as Arabic, Amharic, Tigrina, and Hebrew.

Truth:
For someone who claims to be a historian you should know that. The expression "anti-semitic" dates back only about one hundred years and it was an expression of European people's biases against their very own European Jews.

Truth:
European Jews do love the expression of "anti-Semitic" because the word 'Semitic' is related to the Middle Eastern region, and anything that would hopefully connect the European Ashkenazi Jews to Palestine is highly desired by Euro-Jewry.
Still haven read the latest genome-Research yet have you?

And here is a link to the American Journal of Human Genetics article.

http://www.cell.com/AJHG/abstract/S0002-9297%2810%2900246-6

And in case you cannot get that link to work - Here is the abstract:

Abstract

For more than a century, Jews and non-Jews alike have tried to define the relatedness of contemporary Jewish people. Previous genetic studies of blood group and serum markers suggested that Jewish groups had Middle Eastern origin with greater genetic similarity between paired Jewish populations. However, these and successor studies of monoallelic Y chromosomal and mitochondrial genetic markers did not resolve the issues of within and between-group Jewish genetic identity. Here, genome-wide analysis of seven Jewish groups (Iranian, Iraqi, Syrian, Italian, Turkish, Greek, and Ashkenazi) and comparison with non-Jewish groups demonstrated distinctive Jewish population clusters, each with shared Middle Eastern ancestry, proximity to contemporary Middle Eastern populations, and variable degrees of European and North African admixture. Two major groups were identified by principal component, phylogenetic, and identity by descent (IBD) analysis: Middle Eastern Jews and European/Syrian Jews. The IBD segment sharing and the proximity of European Jews to each other and to southern European populations suggested similar origins for European Jewry and refuted large-scale genetic contributions of Central and Eastern European and Slavic populations to the formation of Ashkenazi Jewry. Rapid decay of IBD in Ashkenazi Jewish genomes was consistent with a severe bottleneck followed by large expansion, such as occurred with the so-called demographic miracle of population expansion from 50,000 people at the beginning of the 15th century to 5,000,000 people at the beginning of the 19th century. Thus, this study demonstrates that European/Syrian and Middle Eastern Jews represent a series of geographical isolates or clusters woven together by shared IBD genetic threads.

Yes, amazingly enough there is common ancestry for all groups from
all over the world and it is traced back to the Middle East. Using
the latest and best DNA techniques! You may not like it but it is
a fact.

Can't get around it!
Actually what you call Truth is Spin!

The truth below is about the expression "Semitic." It has nothing to do with genes or some biased study by European so-called "Jews."

The reason I know that your link is biased, and I have posted this before, is because of their article title:

"Abraham's Children in the Genome Era: Major Jewish Diaspora Populations Comprise Distinct Genetic Clusters with Shared Middle Eastern Ancestry."

"Abraham's Children" --> a mythical character created by the so-called "Jewish" scribes.

"Dispora"

Black Americans can truly trace their origins to Africa, but they are never referred to be a people in the Diaspora. AND THEY WERE NOT SIMPLY DRIVEN OUT OF AFRICA, THEY WERE KIDNAPPED!

This word dispora is used profusely by Euro-Jewry and it is never challenged! Therefore the entire article (and study) is compromised and a moot point- because it has been concocted by Euro-"Jewry" who are desperate to HIDE THEIR TRUE ANCESTRY.

What is meant by 'the Jews in the Diaspora'? It simply is intended to mean all Jews [black, brown and white] who do not reside on Arab Palestine.

THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY COMPLETELY FRAUDULENT.

That is their common method of operation. Lies.

Lies, fraud, bribery, threats, intimidation, blackmail, extortion, propaganda, etc.

You can always spot them by their deeds.

If they want to perpetrate their fraudulent claims concerning genes, they are going to have to get a lot smarter and stop giving themselves away by using terms like "Abraham's Children" and "Dispora."

Seriously. They do a pretty good job hiding who they really are but you can always know them by their deeds and their lies and the expressions they use.

They cannot hide.

Refute it!

You can't!
Genome don't lie!
Besides the Research was Peer-reviewed!
Was yours?
I can see,you don't get it!
Read the Article, instead picking out Diaspora, which is an expression used not just by European Jews, but by Jews in general!

Your SO-CALLED "research" means NOTHING and can't be trusted because of the people responsible for the fraud are the ones conducting the research.

Fraud of that magnitude is next to impossible to prove or disprove.

Abraham is a mythical character.
"Dispora" is a term only used by Euro Jews.

Besides,----- the "so-call research" that Euro Jews might be related to ancient people who lived in Palestine hundreds of years ago does not itself give them the right to claim that land does it? For generations they have lived elsewhere.

EVEN IF IT WERE TRUE, IT MEANS NOTHING. Even if it were true it does not give them the right to claim the land and invade it and create a country.

Oh the European people who call themselves "Jews" certainty do exist. In fact, they have managed to kill off most of the other Jews and they make up 90% of all the people who call themselves "Jews" today.

They exist. But they are not the "Children of Abraham" and they have no claim to the "promise land" or Palestine.

What you call spin, I call absolute truth. Yours is spin. Mine is truth. Name calling is not a credible argument.

"Name calling" was not employed, I questioned your ability in English comprehension, and I still do based on recent experience. Your points are spin, please see the thread "Is Anti-Zionism merely Anti-Semitism repackaged?" for clarification.

Truth:
The world 'Semitic' does not apply to people but to languages of the Middle Eastern and East African region such as Arabic, Amharic, Tigrina, and Hebrew.

Incorrect, please see the thread "Is Anti-Zionism merely Anti-Semitism repackaged?".

From the thread mentioned above:

Before the thread bogs down with protests of definition, I give you a US State Dept. report on the subject.

"The definition of anti-Semitism has been the focus of innumerable discussions and studies. While there is no universally accepted definition, there is a generally clear understanding of what the term encompasses.

For the purposes of this report, anti-Semitism is considered to be hatred toward Jews—individually and as a group—that can be attributed to the Jewish religion and/or ethnicity. An important issue is the distinction between legitimate criticism of policies and practices of the State of Israel, and commentary that assumes an anti-Semitic character. The demonization of Israel, or vilification of Israeli leaders, sometimes through comparisons with Nazi leaders, and through the use of Nazi symbols to caricature them, indicates an anti-Semitic bias rather than a valid criticism of policy concerning a controversial issue.

Global anti-Semitism in recent years has had four main sources:

Traditional anti-Jewish prejudice that has pervaded Europe and some countries in other parts of the world for centuries. This includes ultra-nationalists and others who assert that the Jewish community controls governments, the media, international business, and the financial world.
Strong anti-Israel sentiment that crosses the line between objective criticism of Israeli policies and anti-Semitism.
Anti-Jewish sentiment expressed by some in Europe's growing Muslim population, based on longstanding antipathy toward both Israel and Jews, as well as Muslim opposition to developments in Israel and the occupied territories, and more recently in Iraq.
Criticism of both the United States and globalization that spills over to Israel, and to Jews in general who are identified with both."

Lets try and put this old chestnut to bed once and for all.

Truth:
The world 'Semitic' does not apply to people but to languages of the Middle Eastern and East African region such as Arabic, Amharic, Tigrina, and Hebrew.

The Term Anti-Semitic is purely a Zionist Propaganda Term and has had it's day.

Only fools and diehards cling to this made-up term to discredit honest debate and smear individuals.

It is petty and childish at this stage and those that use it as a discrediting/smearing tool should accept that it is outdated.
