Depends, I say cats, because they can live without you. They're secure and stick around because they want to. Dogs are very insecure and needy, they depend on you and need you. They're fun and loving, but they stick around because they need to. IDK, just depends on the type of companionship you prefer. Not that one is better than the other.

You forgot dodo eats cats and I don't want to have to feed him...so dogs are better.

I think Dogs!! Mostly peoples like Dogs as a pet. A dog will never leave the side of its master through thick and thin. Its unconditional love and loyalty to its master cannot be questioned. Mmmmmmmmm, not sure were i'm going wrong - but my dogs will go with anyone who smiles at them!!

I wish more people would look into what it really means to provide proper care for an animal before they get one.

Have always had a black or black and white cat...just my preference..(my kids all have cats too) I've always wanted a black cat, preferably one born in October. My cat tricked me, he was a really dark grey and look almost like he would grow into being black, but he's a blueish silver grey. I think he was born in September as well. I guess he was close enough. lol
