Well, having seen The Amazing Spider Man (and loving it), I am convinced that rebooting a franchise isn't always a bad idea. Thank God Sony and Marvel decided to reboot Spider Man cause had we been left with remembering Spider Man 3 from Sam Raimi, then that would have been a travesty. So, with rebooting in mind, I came up with a couple of film franchises that should be strongly considered for a reboot. So, here we go kids. And please, do add your own choices too.

The Incredible Hulk- I realize that Universal tried all they could to reboot the angry green guy in 2008. And, to be fair, that movie was actually pretty good. However, after seeing The Avengers I am convinced that Universal should give it one more try. First of all, the fans loved Hulk in The Avengers, and a lot of that can be attributed to Mark Ruffalo. He seems to fit the idea that we all have for Bruce Banner. Now, that said, you cannot deny that Hulk came to life cause (FINALLY) the characted was in the hands of someone who appreciated him....Joss Whedon. I would love to see Whedon tackle doing a film based on Hulk, but I doubt he would have time to do it. Still, now that others can see how Hulk needs to be handled, it is time to give Hulk a shot at raking in big box office. Hulk Smash baby!

Resident Evil- I'll give it to Paul W.S. Anderson. He has somehow been able to produce (he will have directed 3 of the frachises 5 films) this series and keep it relevant for awhile. Many fans of the video games don't like how he has handled the movie franchise. I actually give him credit for making a pretty decent franchise. And once the fifth installment comes out, I hope he sits back and realizes that someone else needs to breathe life into RE. For starters, the movies never focused on the one character from the video game series that the fans love....Leon Kennedy. Second, there needs to be a better representation of Nemesis. Third, how Wesker was handled was a joke. I mean, the sky would be the limit and you could reboot this franchise rather quickly. Anderson made these movies profitable. Someone else could make them relevant.

I enjoyed the Rise Of The Apes reboot, I hope they continue. Also loved the Star Trek reboot, can't wait for Star Trek 2.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes reboot actually surprised me. It was so much better than what Burton did, and I am looking forward to the next installment. Same goes with Star Trek (but I am an Abrams fan, so I felt he would do that franchise justice and he did). And apparently there is going to be a reboot of the Transformers films?

I think I read somewhere that they'll be doing a reboot on the American Psycho, Godzilla, and Robocop franchises. I think the trend in Hollywood right now are remakes and reboots.

Godzilla and Robocop for sure, definitely see this. I know Total Recall is getting a make over for the summer. Now THIS I gotta see since the original was a complete mind phuck.

And Goof, Ruffalo as Banner was all kinds of awesome, though I think Bana trumps Norton in his version. I love Ed Norton, he's great in everything he does but Bana's Hulk was much more memorable for me. IMO a very underrated remake. How about Bana in Star Trek, HELLO??

I wouldn't be surprised.

I think John Carpenter should do a reboot of Rob Zombie's "Halloween". That would be awesome. Haha. Seriously though...

Daredevil definitely needs to be redone. I don't remember liking ANYTHING about that movie, but I loved the comic. Same with Fantastic Four.

Chucky is getting a reboot...eh...would have preferred the once planned direct sequel to Seed.

Actually heard something about a "Scarface" & "American Psycho" reboot. The reason. To make it more modern. Here's the thing people. Listen closely. The 1980's was a HUGE part of both of those films. Especially American Psycho. Ellis even explained that the decade was actually supposed to be one of the characters of the book. Is Hollywood really this stupid?!

And DePalma's Scarface was already a "modern take remake" of the original anyway. IT'S ALREADY BEEN DONE!

Originally George Romero was going to direct the first RE, that would have been interesting.

Creepshow is getting remade. It's from James Glenn Dudelson, yep, the same yahoo who produced Day Of The Dead 2: Contagium, Creepshow III, and the Day Of The Dead remake.

Robocop- They have either started shooting on this film or are close to. I know that casting for it is nearly complete and the last person to sign on to the film was Jackie Earle Haley. I am looking forward to this one. I loved the original.

Godzilla- My understanding was that at comic con this year they had a teaser trailer stating that Gojira was coming back. I actually liked Emmerich's 1998 attempt that had Matthew Broderick, but I recognize that it is time to make a "good" Godzilla movie.

And Mariah, I actually thought Bana was solid as Banner. I just felt tat Ang Lee didn't know how to handle directing a movie about The Hulk. Wasn't that it was a bad film. It just wasn't what I had hoped for.

Hollywood is remaking Battle Royale, it will be called The Hunger Games....no no no wait...I mean because The Hunger Games was popular, Hollywood changed their minds about remaking Battle Royale, which they had planned on doing years ago but chickened out because of the subject matter.

Rob Zombie is remaking JAWS, it will be set at a beach side trailer park. Bruce the shark will have a 40 minute back story.

Yes, but will it be shot in 3D?
