Can you sing the intro by heart?

One day a historian is going to come to you and say “Is it true you were friends with Doctor Sheldon Cooper?”
and you’re going to have to choke back a hot sob of regret and humiliation, as you mumble
“I was, but I chose to hang out on mingle2 with a bunch of fly-by-night internet transients no one remembers.”

I think Big Bang is the best thing on TV right now. I have the first four seasons on DVD.

But, this isn't the right forum to discuss it.

Should be in the Movies, TV and books forum.

I just wish it had a different name. Every time I see it in the listings I think it's about astrophysics.

I have a love/meh relationship with TBBT.

My favorite part is when Sheldon or his roommate criticize the idiotic beliefs of the scientifically illiterate. Though they are pretentious, and sometimes mean spirited, yet I still always find it heartwarming. It's life-affirming. It reminds me that we aren't all fools, running from black cats or lining up for psychic readings - there are entire communities of individuals out there in the world who have reality-based beliefs about reality.

I feel the same way about House, MD.

It's my FAVORITE show!

My favorite is when Sheldon has coffee for the first time and puts on his FLASH costume and runs around yelling ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM

Leonard: What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?
Sheldon: Screwed.
Leonard: There you go.

=-=-=

Sheldon: *knock knock knock* Leonard? *knock knock knock* Leonard? *knock knock knock* Leonard?
Leonard: *opens door* What Sheldon! What Sheldon! What Sheldon!
Sheldon: Tell me what you see here. (Holding his laptop.)
Leonard: The blunt instrument that will be the focus of my murder trial?

Leonard: You went to the comic book store by yourself?
Penny: Yeah! It was fun! I walked in and two different guys got asthma attacks. (shrugs shoulders) It felt pretty good.

Haha, I have only just recently fallen in love with the epicness that is the big bang theory so sadly I don't really have any favorite quotes yet. It's all so hilarious but I love it all the same

I have become a fan recently.

I don't know it well enough to know a quote though

Big bang theory is by far the funniest sitcom out there at this moment.
Can you believe that Sheldon and Amy are now a couple lol.... What a match lmao.

That was such a hillarious scene. Makes me think of the time Sheldon wanted to curse Leonard in his dream and runs to the Grand canyon and back lol...as Flash of course...

I guess my fav quote is from Rajesh's love poem:

"Bernadette oh Bernadette,
Won't you play my clarinet?"

And one from my fav female character that's never on the show anymore, Leslie Winkle (played by Sara Gilbert):

Leonard Hofstadter: [Referring to their upcoming date] How do you suggest we proceed?

Leslie Winkle: Your place. We'll order Chinese, you'll rent a movie - artsy but accessible - then light petting, no coitus.

Leonard Hofstadter: Sounds fun...

Leslie Winkle: I'll leave the details up to you. I think it's better if you assume the male role.

And one more from Leslie:

"Sheldon Cooper? That arrogant, misogynistic East Texas doorknob that told me to give up my research to do laundry and bear children?"

I love their whole dynamic, really. In that show, the level of smartness is directly proportional to their success with girls, have you noticed?

Sheldon (Dr., has been a genius forever)- Not interested (of course, until Amy)
Raj (Dr., really, really smart)- Can't talk to them.
Leonard (Dr. not as advanced as Sheldon and Raj [remember: Raj was in People Magazine])- Girlfriend... kind of. A bit awkward but fine.
Howard (MR.)- MARRIED.

I do love that show, it makes me smarter. =)

I adore Sheldon. He reminds me of myself as a little girl. Haven't warmed up to the others yet. The Jewish guy's haircut drives me crazy.
