This has to be the dumbest, and the most disgusting Twoofer Bullsh*t I've ever had the misfortune of reading.

Folks, this tosser is for real.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't suspect their government of perpetrating crimes against the people to achieve an underhanded political agenda...It happens all the time in many countries, particularly including the US.

The thought that that major players in high positions of the US government could not have been complicit in the crime of the century is kinda laughable.

Hitler's regime was responsible for the Reichstag fire, but for some strange reason the regime never investigated, charged and tried the criminals actually behind it. According to the official German investigation, it was the fault of a Jew...was it?...I suspect that most intelligent Germans knew better, but the thought that their beloved Fuhrer's government could possibly have anything to do with it put them into a nice, comfortable state of denial...after all, stuff like that just doesn't happen in Nazi Germany, right? "It can't happen here", so it didn't...that sounds logical, right?...Anybody who suggests our government would do anything to hurt its own people must be either an insane crank, or a communist or Jewish subversive.

Looks to me like the German people and the American people are a lot alike.

What failed? Since this was a long thread, I'd say my post was in keeping with the probabilities.

It also showed a damned good correspondence to to the Nazi regime.
I was gonna use Israel's Lavon Affair, but figured the Reichstag Fire was ultimately a better fit for the comparison.

This thread is about stupid twoofer theories and hypotheses. I'm not interested in personal beliefs about 9/11, as I've herard it all before.

Who said anything about 911?

Are you saying that the people who questioned the official Nazi version of the Reichstag Fire were just a bunch of twoofer conspiracy theorists? Frankly, I think they were on to something.

Don't you think it was wrong of the German government to write them off as a bunch of unpatriotic, subversive, twoofer conspiracy theorists?

That's what the thread is about.

No, I didn't say that. Is there something wrong with you?

Don't you think it was wrong of the German government to write them off as a bunch of unpatriotic, subversive, twoofer conspiracy theorists?

Now you're being annoying. Feel free bother someone else, as I won't be baited into such nonsense.

I thought it was about twoofer madness. Sorry, but your prior comment said "I'm not interested in personal beliefs about 9/11, as I've heard it all before." Since I didn't bring up the subject of 9/11, I couldn't understand why you would say that (which is why I asked who said something about it).

Now you tell me the thread isn't about the very subject you brought up in the first place, so which is it? Is this a thread about 9/11 or about stupid twoofer conspiracy theories?

Are you saying that the people who questioned the official Nazi version of the Reichstag Fire were just a bunch of twoofer conspiracy theorists?

No, I didn't say that. Is there something wrong with you?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with me, but thanks anyway for your compassionate concern.

I guess I got a little confused that you were saying that people who questioned the "official" version of the Reichstag Fire were twoofers, when you said the thread was about stupid twoofer conspiracy theories after I pointed out that the "twoofers" in Germany were right all along.

My original comment was to show that a Nazi technique of suppressing dissent was marginalizing sceptical, intelligent people, by mischaracterizing them as (among other things) nut case twoofer conspiracy theorists.

After all, we sure wouldn't wanna fall for that old gag again, would we?

Sorry if you misunderstood me.

I see, you're being deliberately obtuse and annoying. I'll type slowly for you: It's about stupid conspiracy theories posited by twoofers regarding 9/11.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with me, but thanks anyway for your compassionate concern.

Compassion doesn't enter into it. Contempt would be a more accurate assessment of my feelings toward your tactics.

I guess I got a little confused that you were saying that people who questioned the "official" version of the Reichstag Fire were twoofers, when you said the thread was about stupid twoofer conspiracy theories after I pointed out that the "twoofers" in Germany were right all along.

Yes, you did get a little confused.

My original comment was to show that a Nazi technique of suppressing dissent was marginalizing sceptical, intelligent people, by mischaracterizing them as (among other things) nut case twoofer conspiracy theorists.

Well, you didn't do a very good job. I suppose that you're unaware of 'twoofer' being a colloquial term applied to conspiracy nutters who posit stupid hypotheses about 9/11. The Godwin is rather cliched I might add, but a nice touch adding just the required amount of hysteria.

Sorry if you misunderstood me.

I didn't misunderstand you at all. I understand your point only too clearly.

I just found this:

"Because WE ARE IGNORANT OF 911 FACTS, WE DEMAND PROOF"

Yes, we figured as much. laugh

The funny thing is though, that no matter how many actual facts you show them with easily verifiable documentation, it simply doesn't matter. They will ignore the truth and argue the garbage 100% of the time.

Of course. It is irrelevant to the CT style of developing an hypothesis:

Jump to a conclusion (often based on prejudice) and work backwards trying to make anomalies and inconsistencies fit the conclusion.

That is an erroneous claim that you have no hope of proving and the claim itself is an ad homenim attack against me that I'm honour-bound to respond to.

You must need new glasses.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with me, but thanks anyway for your compassionate concern.

Compassion doesn't enter into it. Contempt would be a more accurate evaluation.

Contempt Definition:
"the attitude or feeling of a person towards a person or thing that he considers worthless or despicable; scorn"

I'm getting the distinct impression you don't like me.

Here I was nice enough to give you the benefit of the doubt by assuming your asking if something was wrong with me was based on a virtue, and you now make it explicitly clear that it was based on your vice of a false sense of elitist superiority. Aren't you aware that such personal attacks are against the rules? Do you even have compassion for people?

My original comment was to show that a Nazi technique of suppressing dissent was marginalizing sceptical, intelligent people, by mischaracterizing them as (among other things) nut case twoofer conspiracy theorists.

Well, you didn't do a very good job.

Thank you for your opinion. In my opinion I did an outstanding job.

'False' is a bit harsh.

Aren't you aware that such personal attacks are against the rules?

Yes and so is baiting. I'm sure I'll be reported in due course.

Do you even have compassion for people?

Yes, just not those trolling with attempts at baiting.

Thank you for your opinion. In my opinion I did an outstanding job.

I'm sure you feel that way. Godwin's law renders such comparisons rather ineffectual.

You have no idea how quick. I'm way ahead of you.

Here I was nice enough to give you the benefit of the doubt by assuming your asking if something was wrong with me was based on a virtue, and you now make it explicitly clear that it was based on your vice of a false sense of elitist superiority.

'False' is a bit harsh.

Perhaps it was. Since you seem to actually believe you have a true sense of elitist superiority, and out of consideration to your delicate sensibilites, I should change "false" to "deluded." Would that be better?

Aren't you aware that such personal attacks are against the rules?

Yes and so is baiting. I'm sure I'll be reported in due course.

Don't worry, I won't report you. I think this thread could be very instructive to others as to how you bait people, and I'd hate to see it or the comments therein pulled.

Do you even have compassion for people?

Yes, just not those trolling with attempts at baiting.

Well that couldn't apply to me, as I'm only responding to your baiting to preserve my good name and reputation. It must therefore apply to you, as you've admitted to baiting to the point that you expect to be reported for it (see above).

Apparently you have no compassion for yourself. Is that what they call "self-hating"? Give yourself a break, I can assure you that you don't seem anything like the people that have oft been described as "self-hating."

I know you do; that's why I didn't appreciate your snide, ad hominem remarks and had to respond to them.

Are you finished now?

I am now (assuming you won't continue to bait me in some vain attempt to besmirch my honour).

Have a nice day.
