Where do we leave love when we lose it?

If we look, will we find it in the closet?

Forgetting, did we bury it in hope’s chest?

Is it like muscles, if we don’t use it, we lose it?

Do we scurry around searching until we find it?

Do we write it off like a bad debt we never paid?

Realizing it’s lost, not just missing, do we order a replacement?

If it was our most prized possession does it create a deep void in our life
when it really sinks in that its never coming back?

The next time we have it all exciting and new and want to show it off to our friends
are we careful to remember how easily it slipped away from us before?

Do we make a concerted and thoughtful effort never to let it out of our sight again?

Is there a lesson about losing love that can teach us the value we should place on what’s important to us,
and the care we should take to preserve and keep it?

Do you think if we all learnt to not put conditions on love, we wouldn't lose it all..?

Nice write Athena..

Ainjel.. my friend.. flowerforyou unconditional love takes a lifetime of experience to comprehend and put into practice, if we ever do. Unfortunately, when our emotions/feelings are completely wrapped up in another person and we're bringing happiness to each other, it doesn't take much disloyalty to start a revolt, an aggressive attack. We don't think with our minds when it's come to love, we think with our feelings, and they can change with each new wind, or fullness of the moon, in some cases... lol

Thank you, Sinner, but do you also like to answer them?
