Does anyone know, Why exactly did Eli wrap his feet and legs in plastic wrap? Most military and special forces personal. Tell you to do quite the opposite. Keep your feet dry, They say over and over. I imagine wrapping your legs in plastic might lend itself to fungal infection. ????

I haven't seen the movie, but I have been reading about the various bloopers in the movie. I could be mistaken, but I am guessing that the detail you mention is just another blooper as a result of a lack of knowledge on the part of whoever created that particular scene in the movie.

I do know what you are talking about, though. The mini-series Band of Brothers features talk about need for soldiers to keep their feet dry, otherwise they will develop a case of trench foot.

Thanks, I thought it was too. Also did they check each others hands. Looking for signs of radiation, Though the movie is placed 30 years after the big one hit. Where they looking for signs of something else?

It is my understanding that the reason for checking hands is explained in the movie. Some of the characters in the movie are cannibals who have contracted the rare disease kuru, which causes a person to have shaky hands. The disease kuru is a result of cannibalism.

Kuru, I have not heard of that before. Sounds like its worth reading about.
