My first grandchild was born this evening (after being overdue since last sunday).... and He (yes, grandson) is healthy and doing fine. I'll see him tomorrow morning
 Unfortunately his daddy (my son) won't be able to see him because of deployment, but that is military life

Congrats :) I hope she wasn't in that much pain during the birth. A baby is so life-changing. In a good way.

Wanna share with us his name? :) I wish I could  His father is an officer in the military and he is named after him. So he'll just be my "grandson" here.

But all five of my children were blonde. This one has a full set of hair and is dark brown like his mommy. I'll wait for the baby smell after his bath when he gets home. I was just grateful there was no hospital (or diaper) smell when I visited him today
