My first grandchild was born this evening (after being overdue since last sunday).... and He (yes, grandson) is healthy and doing fine. I'll see him tomorrow morning  Unfortunately his daddy (my son) won't be able to see him because of deployment, but that is military life  Awwwww. Congrats :) I hope she wasn't in that much pain during the birth. A baby is so life-changing. In a good way.  His mommy did the epidural thing. But I gather that the last hour or so were still difficult. All moms go through it, she's fine now. You're right, babies are life-changing. Even when you think you're prepared
