Hi guys,

Will you please give advice on long term relationships . I've never had one before but it could be a possibility in the future. How will things like hanging out, sex, etc. work? Thanks! :)

Sorry guys...!! I meant long DISTANCE relationships.

Oddly enough, they work like forum posts. They need time, they need attention, it involves lots of communication from all involved to create something worthy of your time, interest and energy and, if neglected, it will fizzle out and be forgotten.

In terms of the particulars, all that is a part of the communication between you and your potential partner - each relationship is different, but it has to be discussed so that you know what the expectations and needs of both of you are.

Its as it was stated earlier they take lots of communication. Every relationship does not just the L.D.R. I have had a couple long distance loves in my life. They are really tough. Physical contact is one of the things you kinda have to do without. I mean you can play around on the phone or the camera but its still not the same. Not anywhere near as fulfilling as being able to hold your baby close and actually touch them. Like with any relationship trust is important. But that also comes from communication. Making plans to meet up often helps although depending on the distance can be expensive. Its not something for the faint of heart or for those who have issues trusting others. Because you are not there you have to take what the other says as truth. Hope that was helpful.

It depends on the people involved, and obviously they're not for everyone. If both parties aren't 100% committed to making it work, it won't.

Well long distance is always tricky. But they are built on trust and understanding more than any other kind or relationship... sex I assume u mean phone or something on skype is going to be as good as you and your partner make it. Thenmore invloved you both are the better it will be.. its obvi. Not the same as being with the person but when u do get to see that person it makes it that much better!
