Until you have tried it it is easier to believe in it but in reality it is difficult and often impossible to make work. Sad because in a global world it is nice to believe in all possibilities. BUT relationships don't exist in a vacume and if your friends and family are not 100% behind you it will be hard to deal with the larger world that resists anything that does not fit in their standard order of things.

Long distance relationships are a crapshoot in my opinion and don't work.
Interracial relationships can and do work providing there is s100% upport from both family sides.
