So I was just wondering how long others have been single on this site, and why do you think that is.
For me, I have been single for over 4 years now() and i think it's mostly due to me living in such a remote area.
So... how about you?

I have more things to worry about than being single, like why McDonalds won't serve breakfast after 10-30am

Yeah, that's really bluddy annoying, ain't it! Same over here.

Why I am single? Because my ex and I split up. Kinda logical.
Needed some time to find my feet again. Kinda logical too.
Now I'm ready for a relationship, but since I'm happy with me myself and I and my life, friends etc., I'm not in any kind of hurry whatsoever.
I'm busy with my personal & intuitive/spiritual development, which has accelerated beyond believe since I found my feet again, approx Sept / Oct 2013. To me that development is more important than a relationship, as it's about me, my goal in life and my soul's purpose.
I do think the process will help to find (attract) the right partner. I've had two long term relationships and I'm aiming for three times lucky.
All in all I've been single for a year and a half now.

I agree that personal growth is very important. It's just, I see a lot of regulars on here and wonder.... so why are you single.

I have stepped off the relationship ladder to come to terms with myself. I have spent most of my adult life being 'someone's girlfriend', and now I am happy being single.

Oh well think it's like that as well in the south here. :P
I was just asking in a general sense why people think they are single ATM. If it's a personal choice that's valid as well . Thank you for sharing. :)

It's nice when you love and are loved in return, but it's nice being single too.
I knew what you were asking and you're welcome
good luck

About six years since I was in anything like a longterm relationship. It was a combination of not really getting over her and how it ended until last year and my personal circumstances just making it difficult to meet women.

Oh, don't listen to all this "tough" talk. If we weren't all dissatisfied with single life we wouldn't be prowling around here. I don't have "luck" online but it gives me some human interaction. I usually end up meeting someone "on the street" and disappear until that goes sour. Truth be known, you are all fine people but i hope one day to never talk to you again! Mean that in a good way. Just say lay the same rap on a live person that you do online people and you'll be huggin and kissin before you know it. Or come on back and talk to all your pals here! you can't lose. I'd rather be rejected a thousand times than never to have asked once.

three months... not used to the dating bs... it's been too long since I've been in the "dating world"... just trying to find "direction" in my life right now. Maybe have a "hand to hold" along the way...

Hia Goat (lol)

I came on here a few months after splitting with my husband. It was a tactic to have some social interaction with single men so I wouldn't be so tempted to try and reconcile. At that time I was not ready for anything and was more being nosey than anything. I've had one date and would do another if I could find someone I'm interested in who lives near me! LOL

I'm actually not all that pressed to meet the special someone either. My life is still developing and I'm still nurturing myself and healing from past hurts. If I talk to someone and really click with them..... then maybe something will develop. But if not it's ok too. I guess it really is about the ride and not the destination.

laugh most fast food chains do..like some 24hrs stores here wherein they close during unholy hrs.

Now to the question how long I've been single...well let me count.. 1,2,3,4,...shocks! i lost count or i no longer mind the years that passed coz Im getting used to being single. Its not that i don't want to join the "couples ville" i just dont want to rush and end up wasting my time and emotions to a wrong person.
