i have an indian friend that is in an arranged marriage, and he just hates it, but there is nothing he can do till the parents are gone...

A cul-de-sac I used to live in was all Indians, all had
arranged marriages.
I would say, maybe half were happy.
Until they got to America.

The next-door lady would slam out the front door every
night after dinner. Take a long walk.

She always went back but told me she hated the husband
but not the 2 kids.

They don't like desserts, either :-)

Did they make nice curry

You can't be that bad man. No, I don't think that we should bring it back but I'm all in favour of being introduced to women by my family. Told my sister the other day how hot I thought that one of her friends is looking these days. Not sure that she's passing these messages on though.

Did they make nice curry

Yes, they did, which is good because
you sniffed it ALL day long :-)

Sweet Tee, you are still desirable. Why must you live so far away from me? sad

Realcarebear. Your honesty is refreshing. I wish the women here in Kent were as honest as you.

We had a young (20's) indian couple in our apartment complex. They didn't show much emotion so not sure how happy they were but after the baby came they seemed to be a lot happier..The husbands parents came and moved in with them and took care of the baby while wife worked. They bought a house and moved right before xmas so I don't see them any more.

When the indian couple here moved, the landlord had to clean the carpet and paint to get the spicy odors out.. The couple said they were putting their stove in the garage and cooking there so their new house didn't get that smell...lol

hahahahaha

All the Indian ladies in the cul-de-sac would get together,
sit on someone's lawn, and chattering away, would pull the
grass out in clumps..they did not know from lawnmowers and
their feller's did not mow :-)

But an arranged marriage, as a way of life, seemed to work
for some of them, they seemed..happy :-).
