Attorney General Eric Holder got into a heated argument with a Republican congressman Tuesday over the still-pending contempt case against him.
Holder was testifying before the House Judiciary Committee when Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, began pressing him for documents in a separate investigation. Gohmert brought up an apparent sore spot, referencing the 2012 House vote finding Holder in contempt of Congress. "I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight," Gohmert said. A visibly annoyed Holder said: "You don't want to go there, buddy." Leaning back in his chair, he added, "You don't want to go there, okay?" "I don't want to go there?" Gohmert responded. Holder went on to say that the congressman "should not assume that that is not a big deal to me." "I think that it was inappropriate and it was unjust, but never think that was not a big deal to me. Don't ever think that," Holder said, pointing his finger. Gohmert defended his line of inquiry, saying he's "just looking for evidence ... and there have been no indications that it was big deal because your department has still not been forthcoming in producing the documents that were the subject of contempt." The exchange ended when Gohmert told Holder he didn't need "lectures" from the attorney general. Holder said the same back to Gohmert. The attorney general, one of the longest-serving and most controversial members of the Obama Cabinet, often has tense encounters with Republicans during congressional hearings. The GOP-led House voted in 2012 to hold him in contempt for failing to provide key information on Operation Fast and Furious. But what about the complacency of congress in totally ignoring their duty? Impeach and then off to trial we go. Perjury should keep them tied up long enough to complete the trials for treason and then... hangings at high noon on the White House lawn. A couple a day should keep the public entertained for quite a while. Just to keep it interesting I propose two gallows, one for Democrats and one for Republicans. Hang one of each per day. Could even paint one blue and the other red. |

Has anyone noticed they do not care? Has anyone noticed how all the Democrat leadership, Pelosi, Reid, for example do not care?
Why do you guys suppose that is especially with how pissed off people are at the Dems for the last 6 years of BS, not to mention Obamacare? Could it be because they know something we do not know? If you guys recall during the last election, Pelosi and Reid both were very convinced that Obama was going to win re-election despite his wretched poll numbers. It is not hard to tell when these two are really spooked and they were not. Perhaps they knew of the democratic voter fraud plan that would push Obama over the top in every state that did not require ID? I see that same attitude today. What do they know now that we do not know? Could it be that there is not going to be an election and they are not going anywhere? Do they know that some major crisis is going to happen and the election will be postponed by executive order so that there is not any voter disenfranchisement? Is obamas recent remarks about a 3rd or 4th term to place this in everyone's memory so that when the time comes, the citizens think all is just normal? Holder, Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, Obama and several others NEED to be imprisoned. The American people HAVE ALLOWED THEM to forget ...they work for us...we do NOT work for them and Holder should be liable and imprisoned. Everyone should look up S C Y T L...that's another ace in the hole for the Dems. And is the main reason why there will never be an honest election in this country. |

Of course I much prefer the French method of keeping political figures in line, the guillotine. There was a nicely used one for sale on eBay but no one bought it. And when one so little understands basic concepts, how could one expect understanding of a principle so complex as a republic. Must be the reason there are so few residents, the idiocy of the population not to understand basic issues, much less freedom. Must be why the founders made the remark, "Do we deserve freedom?" But yes, I do admire Chavez for what he did for his people. Something you would never be able to figure out in many lifetimes.
