FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Demonstrators plan to block a major highway in St. Louis on Wednesday afternoon. They are seeking justice for the police shooting death of Michael Brown. They plan to shut down I-70 at Hanley road at 4:30pm. A rally is set to begin at 3pm.

Brown was shot to death by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on August 9th. A Grand Jury is currently considering charges. St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch is presenting the case. The goal of the I-70 shut down is to get a special prosecutor appointed to take over the case.

Well, if the GOOD people of St Louis will tolerate the bad behavior, so be it.

Bricks and bottles and being thrown at the police again. Heavy sigh.

They're not even in Ferguson.

yeah well that makes sense. I don't agree with the reasoning or the what but if they want to protest peacefully they have the right.

This isn't what I'd consider peaceful though

Police stopped the protester’s efforts to shut down I-70 They formed a line and met activists on Hanley road. Traffic was blocked on Hanley road while police met with activists. There have been over a dozen arrests at this point.

Organizers of the protest have told demonstrators to move to Ferguson City Hall. They planned to shut down I-70 at Hanley road at 4:30pm.

I don't personally agree with taking up arms on public land or obstructing access to highways,,

better idea to take it to city hall , that would be a more legal way to hold a protest,,,

They want Prosecutor Bob McCulloch to be replaced by someone else for this case. What's interesting is that the people of St. Louis County voted for McCulloch.

Blocking a highway and throwing bricks and rocks at police officers isn't my idea of a peaceful protest either.
