"Secret Listening-Post" Hush, hush I hear say a Masterly voice, signalling to meddlesome thought-bound murmurings 'Tis time to be still. And as though gridlocked, the unchecked traffic of babbling, humdrum thought ceases, knowing full well that objection will nay be brook'd My head assumes an attitude of repose, bowed in pliant supplication. & I gather-up resolve to speak of burdensome sins & broken promises. Shush I hear say a Masterly voice, 'Tis time to be still, the ![]() |

Wow, Roydon, that's a very well spoken verse grouping. Takes rare talent to bring to the fore moments of a reader's feelings. To actually lift the reader on high. Breech whole levels. You achieve this naturally I see. I felt an energy here in this piece. And to think, all ye really did was gather your thoughts, emotions and put them to parchment. As any good, deep poet should. Well done, my friend.
May I say, Dread, this is exactly the kind of energy I imagined you would conjure up. Love this depth! As an added thought, you possess that certain quality that, as writer/poet, derives itself from deep inner passion. Ye got it pal. Your a Poet. Wear it well. tommo / Ireland |
