I love Italian horror, most of the giallo from the 70's, classics like Suspiria, Phenomena, The Beyond, City Of The Living Dead, Kill Baby Kill, Mario Bava's Black Sabbath, Demons 1 and 2, Cannibal Apocalypse, House By The Cemetery, Hitchhike, House At The Edge Of The Park. Used to be into the jungle cannibal flicks when I was younger, and yes that includes the infamous Cannibal Holocaust.
And especially love the Italian zombie films Zombie, Hell Of The Living Dead, Nightmare City, Zombi 3, Zombie Holocaust, Burial Ground, Dellamorte Dellamore.

Truly...the scariest, most horrible movies I ever saw were loosely based on real events.

The Strangers
Open Water
Alive
The Conjuring

Truly...the scariest, most horrible movies I ever saw were loosely based on real events.

The Strangers
Open Water
Alive
The Conjuring

In the case of The Strangers, it's possibly 3 events: The writer claims it was based on a childhood experience, the director claims it's based on the Charles Manson murders, while others think it was based on the 1981 Keddie Resort murders.

Whichever it is, it's an effective movie.

And The Conjuring is really good.

Supposedly the makers of the original BW are planning a 3rd, of course they said this right after the second one was released, but there's been rumors popping up again recently.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (Original)- Man this movie scared me to death. As a kid I couldn't sleep for days after watching it. laugh

The Descent- I still say it is the best horror film to come out over the past twenty years.

Christine- Killer possessed car??? Yes please!
