In March 2013 Jones was quoted comparing the conditions for Iranians in a US camp in Iraq with the conditions of detention for captives held in the Guantanamo Bay detention camps. While addressing the Iranian American Cultural Society of Michigan, Jones said Guantanamo captives "are treated far better" than the Iranian internees. Jones criticized other aspects of the Obama administration's policy on Iran.

Wow, the most decorated and experienced (not to mention most of the highest ranking ones too) men and women in uniform do not think he is doing a good job in National Security and Intelligence (I know putting Obama and intelligence in the same sentence is an Oxymoron), and the strategies to go after ISIS is a joke and have spoken out on a regular basis. Not to mention all Barry has done a good job of driving out the most experienced, highly decorated and battle tested Officer's out of the military.
