I believe in Willow bark in place of aspirin which is a blood thinner and why it is good for the heart. But it does not do what that gel does, just the opposite, it slows clotting.

yup. They've had it in the military in the field for quite some time already. Bro said, they showed a video of slicing open a pigs leg vein, slopped some of in there and pressed it together. Done. Medic!

Really, would love to see the source on that little tidbit.

I know the government doesn't think much about the soldiers but they still haven't stooped to believing them animals and that is what they would have to do as this stuff is only approved for veterinary trials.
