.. do you ever get so tired of talking..
. or texting or emailing..... .. that you just shut your phone off..? ..... I spend the better part of my day.. . communicating with people.. texting . sending off e-mails faxes. . talking to clients and staff.... ... and then when I get home there are my boys... always eager to tell me about their day...... and then my phone.... five or six texts on it... from friends or family..... wanting information or simply to chit chat..... .. and then there are the people you meet..... perhaps your new meet and greet friend..... sending you yet another text..... hi just want you to know I'm thinking about you.... .. hi how was your day... .... I'm on lunch break would you like to talk... ..... do you ever feel so overwhelmed.. . that you just shut your phone off..lol .... oh and then there's those folks on whatsapp...lol... .. its all good it just sometimes it becomes overwhelming...... ... I won't answer my phone.... and then when I come back online.. I have to have some excuse why did not reply to their texts.... Are. messages on whatsapp.... missed phone calls.. ... I always say my battery died..lol.. had to charge my phone up.... .. do you ever just unplug.. and when you come back online.... do you have a standard reason for not replying.. to the missed messages..lol.... oh I can just hear the phone hanging up on me right now.... you told me your battery is dead you son of a *****..lol.. just keeping it real..    .... a busy signal... that's what I'm going to be getting from now on I think.. . |

I always feel a little guilty... never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings..lol.. .. sometimes I won't answer texts for one or two days...ohhh... . You are not responsible for everyone's feelings. If other adults don't sign your paychecks or pay your bills, then their desires shouldn't be controlling your life. Granted, if you were dating a woman, then you'd best be responding to her texts.

My phone gets turned on 3 maybe 4 times a day, I'm on here a couple times a day for like 2 or 3 minutes each, e mails twice a day. it's awesome.

I will disconnect from social sites like here and fb.
I may ignore text messages. however my phone is rarely off my phone. I learned that the hard way

Hey your working your butt off all day and conducting your self like a professional, when you get home you don't owe anyone besides your kids anything. Crack a cold beer, put something on the grill and spend time with your kids they grow up quick, and you are there for them.Very admirable. No worries my friend live free!

oh, yeah, you deserve a cold beer and to hold that phone at the kitchen table during supper with your kids, texting.
It's no different than being on the computer during supper. Go ahead. No guilt. |

Strange..I disconnect all the time. During the day I work with people that are dieing or who have sustained a major injury. In the evening I am with people that I am interested in and want to be part of their lives, whether that is talking, laughing or crying.
So BE HERE NOW, has always been a motto to live by. You can't be in the moment if you keep getting pulled into another. I don't need an excuse. That is the way it is. Most people accept that. |

I don't like being available all the time, if I don't feel like answering, or it's inconvenient timing, I just don't reply.
I never switch off my phone, because I want my kids to be able to reach me. Once my son's car broke down in the middle of the night and he desperately needed my help. For me texting went obsolete with Whatsapp .. I mostly use Whatsapp with my girl, to set a time to Skype or for a quick message. |

op I don't text and cell is hardly charged and I feel that way ...
just tune out an usually I would just tell my friends or fam ... but their is no one in my life right now that...I can say I would turn them off ... ball is in his court ...so don't have to have any excuse about that now lol don't believed I would ...if he was really interested in me its to early to tell ...but would not tune him out ... I mean ... but I do understand how u feel ... |

Sometimes it happens to me, feel that I need time just for myself and don�t reply to anyone, sometimes don�t take phone calls, nor text back, just enjoy solitude. And say the truth afterwards - that i needed to be alone. Friends will understand :-)
And lucky for me, my phone is a bit broken now - everything ok but nobody can call me, they say it sounds as I would be nonstop talking to someone and I�m not. My ex is desperate because of it - he likes two or three hours talks and now he can�t have it lol. And I have so much spare time
