Ah, but in the ever-messed-up world, kindness is often mistaken for weakness.


My suggestion is to find your local "what's up" rag or alternative newspaper. Every city has one, they all have different and sometimes interesting names. You usually find them in record stores, music stores and even grocery stores and they are usually free.

They typically list all the clubs, theaters and events in the area and what is happening there and when. They are usually a weekly thing and often have listings for other types of services as well.

Once you locate this piece of wood pulp and vegetable dyes, peruse it and find something that interests you and attend. I am sure you will meet like minded folks who are also in attendance and perhaps make some new friends.

Lather, rinse and repeat as necessary.
