So terribly sad, yet another plane crash this morning in the south of France... 144 people dead (all passengers), including 2 babies and a group of 16 yr old students.

When I heard about this crash on the news, it hit me real hard. So incredibly sad...
Wishing all these souls peace, the shock must be horrific...

My prayers are with them.

.. reminds you how finite life is... how abrupt it can end... So unreal to think that at 10.00 am all these 144 people were still with us, laughing, arguing, texting on their phones, maybe one of the babies crying...
not even an hour later ...
Just hope someone up there in Heaven looks after these poor souls ..

The co-pilot of a Germanwings flight that slammed into an Alpine mountainside "intentionally" sent the plane into its doomed descent, killing all 150 people on board, a French prosecutor has said.

Yes, really very sad ... And unbelievable that someone can do something like that. If you want to commit suicide, don't take others with you, and preferably don't traumatize others either (like when you jump in front of a car/truck/train).

Just imagine the fear and shock the people on that plane must have been in... The pilot pounding on the cockpit door, maybe screaming and yelling at the co-pilot, passengers must have heard .. And if I got it right, they dropped down 2 km at the speed of light before going on a crash course..
And there are ppl that must have heard all this, know how bad it was on that plane during those last minutes.. seconds, the ones having to listen to the recording of the black box.
Horrible... and so incredibly sad...

Brave men were not in that plane to fight that terrorist? Too sad....

Oh really, WOW!
You don't know what you're talking about.
After 9/11, changes were made to the security of cockpits in an effort to make hijackings more difficult.

How thoughtful of you to try to add more misery to the death of innocent people rant .A little more information for you, those poor souls may well have tried to break down the door, but after 9/11 all cockpit doors were strengthened, and in many cases made bullet proof. So their efforts would have been in vein anyway.Have a heart and do your homework before you comment on things you know nothing about.
My heart goes out to all the people lost yesterday...

...I don't know why they don't just make the passenger compartment injectable from the plane itself and have some sort of parachute system on it
