EXODUS (Of Gods & Kings)
It is not only Biblically inactuate, it is Historicaly inaccurate. One man's role, they replaced with a woman. I don't see the point of even making the movie, unless it is to deceive & confuse people. Special effects couldn't fool a teenage. Sound track is off. Costumes are the only thing they MAY have gotten right. |

THE MATRIX RELOADED (2003)
First time I watched this I was so disappointed with it. I kept going....what the hell was that? I mean, this happened this way because that was how it was going to happen and it couldn't happen any other way....OMG....they used this explanation for everything in this movie. However, over the years this movie has grown on me and it really is a good film. It is just a deep, thoughtful kind of film. And the highway scene still ranks as one of the all time best action sequences. |

Night......( something)? I really do not know.
It is new, & a Sci If . I could not make it thru the movie. * Made like a1970's sci fly.. too much so, script, casting & all * I'm not even sure what it was about. It jumped all over the place. |

Not sure how being made like a 1970's scifi is a bad thing, some of the best scifi flicks come from the 70's. I'll take a film like Silent Running and Westworld over most of today's scifi any day. |

One thing I learned: When going into a big budget Hollywood movie "Based On History or Fact" - don't expect accuracy or the film not to take liberties, things are going to be changed whether to make it more dramatic or to make the story flow. I love Tim Burton's Ed Wood, but they changed a lot of how things happened in Wood's and Lugosi's personal lives.
Also when a film, especially horror says "Based On A True Story" chances are it wasn't, or something sort of vaguely kinda happened to the writer when he was a kid, or happened to someone he knew, or were stories told to him by family members. |

Sure I agree.. 'some liberties', but there is down right nauseating look at the ( latest) "Titanic' (there are 3-4 previous ones) . The latest one, the main characters didn't even exist. |

I've seen a lot of bad films, some were entertaining because of it, but some were just almost unwatchable bad.
The Brainsucker (1988) - Super super low budget shot on home video. One scene you can actually hear the director yelling "Zoom! Zoom!" as the camera zooms in on a building. Night Of Horror (1981) - I rented this from a video store back in the early 90's, when I got home with the case and opened it a folded up piece of paper fell out. Someone left a note for the video store owners telling them they should be ashamed for having movies so bad on their shelves. I thought how bad could it be? Wow. Probably one of the worst films I've ever seen. Hardly a shot goes by without seeing the boom mic, shadows of equipment or crew members, or reflections of them in windows. When I took the movie back I told them they should read the note. Back Woods (2000) - One of the highlights of badness is the supposed gas station, which was basically some oil drums and a hand written sign on cardboard that says "Gas Station". The Maize: The Movie (2004) - The film is literally over an hour of one guy walking through a corn maze. Frozen Flesh (2008) - After the director was bashed for the film on IMDB, he tried to come off as the whole movie was made as joke. Savage Vengeance (1993) - aka I Spit On Your Grave 2. Camille Keaton for whatever reason reprised her role from the original. But knowing it was so bad she used another name, and refused to talk about the movie at conventions. I know a lot of people didn't like the original, but this film was just plain awful. |

My disliking of Titanic wasn't so much the inaccuracies, but the fact it was just plain dull. But yeah. Like some adaptations from books. Some go so far from the book you wonder why they bothered. Simon Birch was based on John Irving's book A Prayer For Owen Meany. The author asked them to change the name of the movie. The first half of the movie is fairly close to the book, after that it goes off on its own. |
